I will start out by saying I am very picky when it comes to vets. I have had two of my lifetime I have a really stuck out as being amazing . After moving to Ridgefield in February I started coming here with my small Chihuahua mix . Seemed to go well at first. Both thats we saw were very good . I made an appointment to bring my dog, because his face was swollen. This was on a Saturday . I had called to give them some background information that my husband may not think to give them because he was the one bringing in my dog . None of the things I said got back to the vet seeing him. Then they aspirated and sent it to a lab and told me they would call me with results on Tuesday . They to do not call until Friday. Then I called recently because my dog had eaten an apple seed, which I heard could be poisonous. They could not be bothered talking and I was told to call poison control . I called 2 poison controls and they informed me they did not advise about animals and asked me why I didnt call my vet, (which I had). I then called two different animal poison controls, and was informed I had to pay upwards of $60 to even talk to someone ! This is now A half hour going by, in which this could be a time sensitive thing. Finally called them back again, they gave me a vet tech, who told me they have talked about it with A vet and they dont think itll be a problem that my dog ate such a small amount( why couldnt they just tell me when I call the first time, no idea ) . Then the straw that broke the camels back, was the other day I called because my dog had painful rash under his chest. It was nine in the morning, and I couldnt see him until four, and they have multiple Vets at that practice. I finally gave in and called Ridgefield animal hospital, which a friend had recommended to me a while back. He is one vet, and I was a new customer, and he took me in at 11am that day. Very happy I changed, I am very happy with the new vet. Dr. Heidinger is wonderful!

The service i received from Quarry the first three years was wonderful. The price was a bit high for vaccines. I always walked out with a bill for 200 or more dollars for a routine visit. Then one day my dog wasnt eating, and seemed lethargic. I explained she was pooping but very little bits the past few days. They did blood work , then X-rays, then more lab work. The very last thing they did was to remove hard fecal matter. The bill came to $627.00. The strange thing was the removal of feces was 0.00. Free of charge. She was constipated. Never did the doctor apologize or offer a reduced amount for not checking that first. That 600.00 dollar bill truly hurt me. Several months later I needed to renew an ongoing ointment. They suggested I make an appointment. I declined. I picked up my dogs ointment took it home. I used it about two weeks later and a puff of air came out. There was little ointment left. I spoke with the receptionist who wasnt sure how to proceed. Someone called back, said how unusual it was. The next day they said they would call the manufacturing company. I called the company and they said no problem. They wanted the calling #. Quarry called me back and said they were unable to accept an open tube and the company nor they would replace it. I was not happy. After a cooling off period Quarry sent me a new tube. I have lost trust in them

Ive taken my 2 cats there since we moved here 6 years ago. They have such a knowledgeable staff and they work together to solve problems. Some reviews complain about the costs, but if somethings up with my pets I want all the tests done and if you want a state of the art facility with ultra sound and acupuncture and some of the best veterinarians available, this is your place. They truly care about your pets and I totally trust them and I have friends that take their pets there and feel the same as I do.

I always have billing issues with them. I specifically told them that I did not want pre anesthetic bloodwork done on my completely healthy 6 month old puppy. They said that it was part of the bill that ROAR paid anyways so it would be done. It what world would a shelter pay for pre-ans blood work? So I stupidly agreed and when I went to pick up my dog, there it was on my bill. Second time I brought my dog there second time I had a billing issue.

Compassion rules at this animal Hospital, located closely to the heart of town. Ive always had great check ups here and recently they aided me in putting my loved dog to sleep after his faithful 17 years of serving as my best friend. Thank you for everything, including the trust and service provided.
