I have now been a patient at Plantsville Family Dental for a few years and Im very happy with the service Ive received. After moving to Connecticut, I had procrastinated finding a new dentist for too long, and came here after it couldnt be ignored any longer. The entire staff is super friendly and was judgement free. Dr. DeRienzo kept me in the loop every step of the way, showing me pictures of my teeth during the process and has included me on the decisions of how to proceed. The hygienist has a great personality and makes the time fly while getting my teeth cleaned. I never have issues setting up an appointment and never experience significant delays at my appointments. They always take my insurance budget into account when scheduling work to keep me from getting unexpected bills. My wife now also comes here, and is also very happy with the decision. I highly recommend Plantsville Family Dental to anyone looking for a new dentist or looking for a change.

Dr. DeRienzo is an excellent dentist and one whom you can trust to take good care of you. I have had numerous dental problems all of my life - due to an unscrupulous dentist who drilled out non-existent cavities when I was 12 years old - and I have been to many dentists in my life (Im 50 years old). When I discovered Dr. D about 10 years ago, I knew that I finally found a talented and deeply caring practitioner. He is technically excellent ... his novacaine needles are pain free ... and he always lets you know what is going on. He brings the patient into the decisionmaking process, and even calls you at home after a procedure to make sure that you are OK. Im a real dental coward, too, given my history .... but I found the man that makes it all work for me. If he moved to Thailand, I would still go and see him for my dental work ... hes that good and there is NOBODY like him.

My family and I have been patients at Plantsville Family Dental for over 6 years. Weve all had great experiences with Tom and his staff. Sue, his hygienist, does an excellent job. She is gentle and thorough and has a great personality. She is also very patient and loving with our son who has special needs. All this has been very important to us. Over the years, Tom has replaced all my original metal fillings, has created a partial, and done a root canal for me. He gives you all the options ahead of time so that you can decide whats best for you, and he talks you through the process when you are in the chair. Im very satisfied with all of his work. He cares about you having a pain-free experience. I have confidence in his ability to maintain the health and soundness of my teeth.

Dr. Derienzo and his staff are very professional, warm, and friendly. Our family has been going to his practice since 2008. His hygeinist is very thorough, caring, and relaxed. She makes you feel comfortable. She also has been very patient and kind with my special needs child. Dr. Derienzo has performed many different dental procedures for various members of our family including fillings, root canals, wisdom teeth removal, and crowns. He is always looking to encourage preventive dental health care, so that small problems dont turn into larger ones in the future. He is kind, respectful, and attentive, and does a good job of listening to the patient and explaining the need for procedures and also what is happening during the procedure so that you feel secure.

Dr. DeRienzo has been my dentist for over 20 years. He and his staff are the best. They are friendly and caring. The office is state-of-the-art and beautifully decorated with Wi-Fi access while you are waiting. You never have to wait long in the waiting room before they take you in. They do not double book appointments, as many offices do. Dr. DeRienzo always explains your options clearly when work needs to be done. He and the staff are very professional , efficient, and always have your comfort in mind. I highly recommend Dr. DeRienzo and his team. The office is conveniently located in Plantsville, with plenty of parking.

Dr. DiRienzo is a great dentist. I am the poster child for Fear of Dentists. Hes the only dentist I trust. He practices painless dentistry and Ive had cavity work, root canal, and teeth pulled in his office. And understanding my fears, he does my annual teeth cleaning himself. Hes also a humorous guy and chats away while your mouth is full of various dental accouterments. His undergrad degree was in engineering and his approach to dentistry is more holistic than most. There is no other dentist for me.

Quick and polite. The office was very clean, and there was tons of parking. I went there for a workers comp case, and they communicated with the workers comp office with no problems. I was able to get an appointment quickly, and they were understanding when I had to reschedule the followup. I felt confident that they knew what they were doing, and the job seems well-done.

Technical expertise and perfectionism teamed with conservative practices makes Tom a GREAT dentist. Im a pretty tough patient, but hes always been gentle and accommodating with me. His insurance processing works out pretty smooth for me too.
