I stumbled upon Georgetown Dentistry through Google and I am so grateful it happened. If there was ever a candidate for a case study, it’s me, and I honestly believe my experience is such that we could turn it into a fairytale – and I know that sounds terribly corny but it’s true! After five years of avoiding any visit to the dentist and completely ignoring the damages and pains that were occurring in my mouth, I finally reached a point where I could not wait any longer. In honesty, I could deal with my back teeth falling apart but once my front teeth – and therefore my smile – proved that they were at stake, I knew I needed a true professional. Unfortunately, I also knew it couldn’t wait but I had chosen a very limiting dental insurance plan and it would be 10 months before the open enrollment period opened. Thankfully, I gave up my stubbornness and made the call on a whim to Dr. Roshan’s office. The entire Georgetown Dentistry team warmly welcomed me in and gave me such a phenomenal intake assessment that I couldn’t imagine moving on to someone else. Dr. Roshan then clearly studied my mouth and during my second appointment she had mapped out a plan and budget to make everything I wanted possible within a reasonable price range that I could completely manage. It has been the best money I’ve ever spent on myself and I do not regret a moment I spent in her office nor a dollar I’m paying out of my pocket – both of which had previously been the kind of considerable investment that I would have never made during all my years of not caring. Dr. Roshan is an artist. I wish I could upload a picture here of my smile before and after because it’s simply striking what she achieved – the porcelain veneers and the whitening obviously makes my face look better on the outside but I never knew that such an enhancement could actually give me more confidence on the inside and a more optimistic outlook on life in general. And she did it in a way where it doesn’t look too different to my friends and family – as in you can’t necessarily tell that I’ve “had work done” and, to be honest, I was a little worried that I’d end up looking like a cartoon character – but, no, it’s not like that at all and everyone notices that I’ve “never looked better” but they can’t specifically acknowledge it’s the fact that I underwent aesthetic services. From an oral health standpoint, Dr. Roshan also resolved all of my existing ailments and repaired the teeth that had incurred damage, and I no longer experience any issues. I should also add that I really care about taking better care of myself because what I have now just means too much to me to put at risk, as I used to do. I’m a healthier person overall because I feel better about what I have, who I am and how I feel. OH and did I mention that I didn’t feel a pang of pain once throughout my experience? Or at least I don’t remember it! Thanks to Dr. Roshan having a most beautiful upscale office complete with cutting-edge technology and medical treatments, I didn’t even feel the needle that was being used to numb my mouth! Finally, I could never forget her staff – her assistant Katie and her receptionist Ibeth made it the most enjoyable time and I felt like they were friends all along the way. They made every effort to schedule appointments in a convenient manner that would not interfere with my work commitments, they made the atmosphere comfortable and soothing and even luxurious, they made laugh throughout every appointment, and they provided onsite and on-standby support for whatever was needed. I’m truly amazed. Even my mom in Baltimore is interested in becoming a patient of Dr. Roshan now! And you best believe that no matter where I may end up in this world, I’m definitely going to remain a client for life at Georgetown Dentistry!

I am reposting and updating a review I did on YELP for Georgetown Dentistry because Yelp rather unhelpfully filtered my review so no one can see it (technically you can still read the review if you search for Georgetown Dentistry on the yelp page and click on the small link called "filtered" under the - currently - two reviews that appear there). I am updating because Ive been back to Georgetown Dentistry a few times since then. My experience at Georgetown Dentistry continues to be top notch. Dr. Roshan is not only attractive, but also a really, really good dentist. She has had to do so many fillings on one of my teeth that I doubt there is any original enamel left (Im terrible about flossing). And you cannot see the difference! Ive had fillings from other dentists, and you can see all of them if you look closely enough. Not these. Shes that good. I have half a mind to ask her to replace them. In fact, Georgetown dentistry went from being "in network" to "out of network" for my insurance, and Im still going there. Why, you may reasonably ask? Because the difference in cost is nominal (they still submit my insurance claim and my insurance reimburses me for my out-of-pocket cost, which is pretty close to what I was paying before, anyway). It is worth the minor inconvenience of waiting for your reimbursement. If you have gone to an insurance-based practice then youll understand what I mean. Going to Georgetown Dentistry is not like going to a factory, where they make their money by seeing as many patients as possible as quickly as possible. Dr. Roshan takes the time to explain things in detail. Even when I just wanted to know about veneers, she took the time to explain how they work and why I was not a good candidate for them. I have had my cleanings done there by their hygienist, as well. She is very cool, a people person, tells you what shes doing, and why. Doesnt stab your gums with a sharp knife (I think she uses a water pick or something), and isnt too preachy, which is nice. I have referred my family, friends, coworkers, and random people on the street to this practice. Now Im referring you. Highly recommended.

I never thought would be writing a positive 5 star review for a dentist - after all the dental experience doesnt lend itself to fun. But after going to Dr. Roshankar for my most recent check up and unfortunately some work on cavities, I had to write about how great she is. She is so gentle and thorough. Her office is beautiful and peaceful - more like a spa - and she treats her patients like royalty. She did a complete and detailed exam, explained what she was doing and what her exams revealed and laid out what my options were going forward - both for my immediate cavity needs and areas I need to keep track of long-term. She never made me feel like she was rushing to get to the next patient. She is incredibly attentive, professional and she has the most gentle touch. based on my experience, my mother, fiance and two of my friends have switched to her and all four have had nothing but positive experiences with her. And thats a lot to say for dental visits. Oh, and her front desk and professional staff are great as well.
