I begrudgingly returned to Dr. Durando at the Cape Coral office for my 2nd , 6 month visit on September 9th. On the first visit my wife and I told Dr. Durando to not cut off any of our skin for lab tests. Prior visits to Riverside Dermatology in the past caused me an extra $100.00 for lab work out of pocket on top of the $40.00 co payment. I explained to the Doctor that my Blue Cross did not cover the lab work and I could not afford it .The additional $100.00 and in my mind, would be a needless cost. Sure enough,on the last visit she felt the need to cut off a calcium deposit near my left elbow. I told her that there was no need to lance it being I was told years ago that it was only a harmless calcium deposit. At that point the Doctor developed a major attitude and went ahead a lanced it anyway. Shoot, I saw Dr. Durando 6 months earlier and there was no mention of the calcium deposit at that time. I have never seen a worse bed side manner then I had seen with Dr.Durando. My wife had the same impression of her lack of bed side manner on her visit 6 months earlier. This will be my last visit to Riverside Dermatology and feel at the moment a bit of outrage for these type of businesses that operate in this type of impersonal medical practice.

After waiting over a month for an appointment and driving an hour to the office Dr Durango canceled my appointment because her office staff made an error in making my appointment which resulted in a 30 minute delay for lab results from a procedure that her scheduler told me was done in their office-- which it was not and I even verified when I made the appointment that they had the records. Im floored that after admitting their error instead of continuing my scheduled appointment I was told Dr. Durango wouldnt see me because it was now past my appointment time! What a way to treat your patients-- no consideration for the time I had to take off work and the fact that I was making a two hour round trip drive. I left the office in tears and will not be back. I reccomend looking for a dermatologist office that knows how to look up the correct information and values their patients time.

This company (doctors dont set the prices) charges more than the most upscale clinics in Beverly Hills or New York. This place would be fine for you If you have extra money you dont need. I had 2 very different diagnosis from 2 different doctors at the same place. The first doctor gave me a wrong diagnosis and didnt show much interest. The second doctor was very knowledgable and gave me the right diagnosis and explained possible treatments in great detail, he was very good.

I have always received first rate care at Riverchase Dermatology. Nicole, my provider has literally saved my life. she is very thorough and has detected many precancers as well as cancers on my skin that could have become very bad; if they had gone unnoticed. Their surgeons have also performed surgical procedures that have resulted in minimal scarring to include a large skin flap to cover a huge indentation on my cheek from the removal of a large basal cell carcinoma.

I would have left 5 stars but it is impossible to reach them! The previous reviewer was right, in that you wait 5 minutes, then get their voice mail telling you to leave a message but they dont call back. I know of no other medical practice that does this. If you need to speak to the scheduler that day, youre just out of luck! REALLY need to upgrade their answering service!!

My wife saw Dr. Durando for the first time and was very pleased. The only issue she had was that the staff gave her someone elses license and insurance cards back. Dr. Durando was thorough and knowledgeable and the staff was pleasant, especially Susie, the lady who checks patients out. No idea why so many unhappy posts, but she had no issue.
