I cannot even begin to describe what a horrible doctor she is (and her staff!). I am another physician that went to see her for a skin problem. I spent more time seeing her PA Shirisha (Dr. Badia makes more money when she has the PA see patients) than the actual physician. I was told I had to have an area taken off my face and guess who came in to do it? The PA once again. She cannot even make time in her schedule to cut an area out of another physicians face. Of course the area that was cut out of my face was too much and I have had to have fillers placed in that area so it looks flush with the rest of my skin. This was done after I went back to her office multiple times to complain that the area would not fill in. Now I have been putting restylane in that area myself to fill it (thank goodness I am able to buy the product as a physician). Fast forward 7 months.... I have a chin wound that will probably have to be filled with a semipermanent expensive filler such as Bellafill just so I dont have to put temporary Restylane there. Plus... I got these emails from the practice to shop in the online product store. Really? No I dont want to give you any of my money for facial products when I have had to pay to fix the area that was damaged. After I talked to some coworkers at the hospital I realized that every other woman who has gone to see her has run the other way because of many negative experiences.. one lady even told me she asked her to look at a spot on her leg and was told it was benign only to have her next dermatologist cut it off less than 6 months later and found it to be cancerous. Please be aware that this office is more concerned with making money and quantity of patients seen than quality. When I was having issues the front desk person had the balls to say I had a long appointment scheduled (this was a full 15 minutes instead of 2 patients every 15 minutes). Imagine how much you pay for a copay x ~50 people per day + whatever is billed to insurance. This is what they make before they try to talk you into skin care products or the v-beam laser (as a physician I dont recommend doing this either as it has a lot of downtime and most people need to go back to work). RUN RUN RUN from this practice.

I cant express how weird I felt leaving this appointment. Dr. Badia was nice enough and chatted while she checked my skin. The exam took about 5-7 minutes. I was seen on time and staff was friendly (but weirdly Stepford like). After the doctor left the room, I had to spend 10-15 minutes, half naked, listening to the assistant try to sell me skin care brighteners and toners. Nothing medically wrong with me, but these were purely cosmetic products costing a total of hundreds of dollars. I hadnt expressed interest in anything cosmetic, so I was thoroughly confused. When you have a patient, the first time to your practice, almost naked, to trap them in a sales pitch was so wrong. What is worse is that I KNOW they dont do this for men (my husband sees this practice regularly and never has this issue). It didnt feel like I was at a doctors office at all, more like I stripped down for one of those people in the mall trying to sell you miracle creams. Just because I am a woman doesnt mean that I should have to be subjected to your sales tactics to pay for a fancier office. I came to make sure that after years in Florida that I didnt have skin cancer, but I left feeling like I had been duped into something. I still believe that everyone should get their skin checked, but maybe find an office that is more concerned with your health than the size of their bank account. Also, Dr. Badia, as a woman, please consider the message you are sending to the women you treat in this manner. When my husband goes, it is all about his skin and making sure he has no trouble spots, making sure he is healthy (and I thank you for that!). When I went it felt like it was more important that I bought a $200 skin brightener so that I can look prettier, so what seems more important?

Be aware of this place.first i spent long time to get in.Mrs Badia is uncommunicative and arrogant. She doesnt treat like a doctor and i am not sure if she is. She couldt solve my problems, she just sent me to get treatments without basic check up.Forget something like nice personal consultation. She treated me with Botox but i am very unhappy with result because she did not what i wanted ,instead i now have wrinkles where they were not before. This lady should improve her knowledge for Botox and to hear and respect clients needs as well as be pleasant. This place looks good with their advertisement, office and offer of services but be carefull. This place earn a lot of money because they schedule many appoitments even if all can be done in one. Also you dont pay botox for ml { for what you need}but for area only{quite unfair for younger people} and i guess Badia does it with intention a little wrong, because she wants probably to treat the whole face and earn more money.Only stupid people who never met good doctor can be their clients, this is not doctor office, this place tries to be ,,exclusive,, but under this sheel is nothing great.I dont trust this place and i dont recommend it to you.

I have been going to Dr. Badias office for years. Usually the wait is short. I have not actually seen Dr. Badia in a while but her assistant that handles everything has been the same for a long time. There is no doubt this is a real busy operation but is extremely professional. I am very proactive about skin cancer and highly recommend people get checked regularly. I just called to book an appointment and it is tomorrow at 9:15am! Unlike a couple reviewers, I was never upsold on anything. A few years back I had a small item on my forehead removed and she sent me to a plastic surgeon for the removal and stitches. I appreciated the fact she felt it was better for a plastic surgeon to handle that rather than taking my money and doing what I am sure she could have done. As a lawyer who turns away cases that I could handle but know it would be handled by a specialist better, I have a lot of respect for people who look at the patients best interest before the money.

My husband, teen boys, and myself have been going to FL Skin Center for over five years. We have all gone for the purpose of evaluation and treatment of skin conditions. We see both Dr. Badia and Shirisha Vallarapu at the FM office. I have never had products pushed on me, nor made to feel uncomfortable at any time, on any visit. On the contrary, the entire staff is polite, attentive, caring, gentle, and professional. They return calls, answer their phone during business hours and respond in a timely manner when I have questions. They are informative and knowledgeable and always put my fears at ease. I feel we are in good hands with them, and would highly recommend this practice to friends, family, or strangers.
