For my first experience with a dermatoligist it was quite terrible. First of all, my skin issue was acne. I am 14 years old and I was so embarrassed about my skin and my self confidence was rock bottom. Plus someone being really close in your face when your not very confident with it sounds like a very interesting experience. But that is what a dermatoligist does, no problem. But I was very nervous yet excited about my appointment, the thought of me finally having clear skin made me so excited! So I prepared myself by bringing a notepad and a pen so I wouldnt forget any of the wonderful skincare tips he would give me. I also researched online about how to prepare for a dermatology appointment and wrote out about 2 pages full of questions to ask Dr. David. I was extremely prepared for my first dermatology appointment. When it finally came time for my appointment I was a jitter of nerves and my appointment was the last appoitment of the day. The office was very neat and the waiting room was quite beautiful which relaxed me a little. My nurse was okay, she wasnt exactly as friendly as I would have liked nor very helpful regarding my skin care questions. When Dr. David finally came in he seemed pretty cool at first! But then he became very impersonable and stand off-ish. He examined my face, walked away then was really quiet for a while, which made me feel really uncomfortable and awkward. After that I didnt feel confident enough to ask the questions I prepared for him. He didnt ask me any questions related to my skin or just about me in general. Usually a doctor gets to know his or her patients. He also told me that he had his hands tied due to my insurance but would give me what I can. What doctor says that? He also told me that the pills he was going to give me had no side effects, almost everything has a side effect! And yes the pills had MANY side effects! Overall he was very impersonable, and it just was a terrible experience for me. I have not used any of the products he prescribed for me because I was really unsure and something was telling me to not go in that direction. Thankfully now I am not dealing with any more acne thanks to Jesus Christ and Murad, Kate Somerville, and natural oatmeal and lemon masks and natural greek yogurt (which is a natural dark/ acne spot remover) and a good clean diet! Now I am focusing on removing acne spots which is the second stage in getting the gorgeous complexion I want. I did read the reviews before visting this dermatoligist, but I was so set on just seeing anybody as early as possible. But hopefully somebody reads this and it will help himher. I am by no means saying that Dr. David isnt a good doctor in general but for me he just was not. Other patients might love him but this was my personal review. I do want to find a new dermatologist though and I finally think I have found the place! I just want to go to a dermatoligist that will provide chemical peels for me to get the marks off my face a wee bit quicker and just to have a nice dermatoligist to answer my questions and etc. If I could give zero stars I honestly would, but thats not an option. Hopefully this will help someone before-hand so they never have a terrible experience like mine.

I have been a patient of Dr. David Allyn for 0ver 10 years. I see him at least 4 times per year. I have had many skin cancers of various types removed by surgery and freezing through the years. I have a sub dermal skin disease that exacerbates my condition. I have needed nine surgeries in ten years. I have never had one Cancer after surgery ever return. His staff is competent and friendly. Dr. Allyn, has demonstrated, over the last 10 years a level of excellence in my medical care unsurpassed by any other Drs I have seen for other conditions.

I saw Dr Allyn for an aesthetic procedure in February of 2017. I am thrilled with the results! Dr Allyn is kind and competent. The wait time was a little long but what Drs office does not have that? Thrilled with his staff, especially Randi! Thanks all!

The worst experience I have ever had with a doctors office, period. Lied directly to me twice, then charged me for their mistake. Avoid this place like the plague!

This Dr. is good at selecting the appropriate medication, not so much with the surgery. The laser stuff is very effective and the office is clean

Went there to have warts removed. He did not know the difference between a wart and acne. The warts that he froze are still there.
