My daughter and I have had the blessing to be under the care and counseling of Dr. Sandrow for the past 3 years. His role in providing the essential assistance to my daughter, who has specific learning disabilities (ADHD Combined-Type and Mathematics Disorder) has been invaluable. Not only has Dr. Sandrow addressed the different learning needs of my daughter, he has also provided the emotional support and necessary skills to empower her to perform better at school. Dr. Sandrow administered psycho-educational testing to assure that my daughter learns and develops to her full potential. These results have given me the knowledge I needed to remediate and strengthen her weaknesses as well as to provide her with advanced instruction and placement in her areas of strength. Moreover, we have received family counseling under Dr. Sandrow. His approach is non-judgmental, supportive and thought provoking. Not only is Dr. Sandrow accomplished and experienced in the field of Psychology, he brings the human element and personal approach into his therapy sessions that make all the difference. Highly Recommend this agency. This is an amazing agency and dont really know who the person below spoke to but they were very understanding about my husband and Is financial situation and worked with us to make sure we would be able to start sessions. As a clinical social worker myself, I would highly recommend this agency to any of my clients. The only draw back I see is with the parking; its on the street and you have to make sure you have a roll of quarters with you because the parking enforcement is always out and about. All in all, Im happy to be going here and have gained tremendous insight from my psychotherapy sessions and nutritional counseling sessions.

I just wanted to applaud the professionalism and great work that the staff and therapists do from this counseling center. I have been a patient of Dr. Susan Scholz-Rubin for many, many years. She is insightful, compassionate, smart, attentive, and always leads with a positive attitude. I have gotten through many difficult moments in my life and feel that she has helped me to become a strong, self sufficient individual with values and a great deal of coping tools. The office staff is equally good. They always maintain a pleasant demeanor, prompt attentive service, and, again, extreme professionalism. I feel as if I am family, not just a client.

I called this place with hopes to make an appointment. I wanted to find out if they accepted my insurance but before even asking me what my insurance was the person on the phone told me the rate was $200 per hour. I then asked her again about the insurance and she seemed annoyed that I brought it up. I would have been willing to pay and make the appointment regardless if she had been nicer when I called. This is a counseling center and they should have someone with more patience and better customer service handling calls. First impressions do count.

Please do not go here unless you want to waste your money. I went and paid an expensive initial fee of $250, then was asked to pay another $200 per session that I supposedly needed to take weekly to figure out what is wrong with me. Psychiatrists normal rate can be $100-$200 for an initial session, then cost around $50-150 for follow up visits. These people also do not except insurance. My new psychiatrists is amazing, although he has so many patients its hard to get appointments. Hes the best and only charges $75 per session.

Extremely professional and understanding, it was great being able to open up and receive the guidance and help needed at the time. She always found different ways to make the sessions dynamic and resourceful towards reaching my goal. I would highly recommend Laura Urquiaga for therapy.

Dr. David Sandrow is a highly skilled and very personable psychologist. I know him best through his work with students. He writes clear, effective educational evaluations, advocates for his clients, and works well with schools. In addition, Miami Counseling and Resource Center has an entire group of excellent psychologists who support growth and wellness.
