Lol Ok

My spouse and I went in optimistic and open minded, unfortunately our sessions with Dr. Freid showed us first hand how much going to the wrong counselor can make things go from bad to worse, and makes me question his professionalism and ethics. Without going into too much detail; We felt he played us against each other which resulted in us going from being amicable about our pending separation to an extremely toxic, distressing place. He came off as very disingenuous and cold. He seemed to pick the low hanging fruit by repeatedly stating what we both already knew and openly acknowledged about our relationship, while deflecting any complex questions or issues we had by responding with vague double talk that lacked any substance or insight. My biggest concern is pertains to his ethics and is the reason I feel obligated to write this review. We both felt that he was intentionally deceptive by purposely withholding very important information, stringing us along, possibly to make us feel obligated to continue seeing him after we expressed our concerns that our sessions were making things worse. Our sessions with Dr. Freid resulted in unnecessary emotional distress and animosity that arent likely to heal any time soon.

I have been going to Kindelan McDanal & Associates for years. It is such an amazing place. When I first started going I was unsure what to think ; I had never been to a psychologist before and I was nervous and skeptical, but didnt take long for me to realize how helpful everyone was. The office staff is amazing, they are kind and friendly and can accommodate just about any request. I see Dr. McDanal and she has been a lifesaver. She is calm and friendly and patient and kind, and basically the epitome of a great psychologist. Im not the only person in my family who goes here either: my cousin sees Dr. Allison and regularly praises his good work. My son, who originally struggled with a learning disability now manages his schoolwork impressively, something that Ill never be able to thank Dr. McDanal enough for. This review is mostly for anyone out there who thinks seeing a psychologist will be scary or ineffective or anything like that. If youre nervous about coming to Kindelan Mcdanal & Associates, dont be, I can assure you that they are wonderfully committed to your mental health.

Terrible experience. Spent about 5 minutes in a session before I walked out. I dont know about the other counselors but the one I got was awful and biased. Her stock response was "Well, whos fault is that?". Seriously? What a joke. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this counseling group again. By the way, the "counselor" that I so briefly saw today (5/4/17) was Ms. Claudia Carrillo. She was the ONLY available counselor when I made my appointment. If you are considering seeing a counselor at this firm, WAIT FOR ANOTHER COUNSELOR!!!
