I recently had the opportunity to attend a continuing education course for the New PDO Threads in Miami Florida conducted by the American Institute of Aesthetic Medicine. At this course I had the opportunity to work with Dr. Roberta Del Campo of SouthBeach Dermatology As a speaker and clinical Instructor of this new Aesthetic Procedure she was incredibly knowledgeable and was received by all the doctors attending as being on the cutting edge of modern aesthetic procedures. One participant said that the price of admission was worth it because of Dr. Del Campo. I Also had the opportunity to be her student during a clinical presentation during actual treatment of the NEW PDO threads for facial rejuvenation. I can tell you she is absolutely incredible. Her ability to see those subtle changes in the skin and face and the ability to convey that knowledge to her students is truly a gift. Not only can she teach but she can perform. I was able to witness her clinical ability first hand as she placed the New PDO threads in each and every patient .. She would describe to her students the condition of the skin as she gently manipulated the contours of patients face to see the desired changes that would occur after the threads were placed. . Then she would demonstrate to the students the proper technique. When the students began to work she would guide their hands to insure the safety and proper placement of the Threads. The results were outstanding. There are new and improved procedures being developed every day for the cosmetic industry and Dr. Del Campo is one of those practitioners that stays in the forefront and leads the industry in cutting edge modern techniques. I am also a Cosmetic Dentist and Facial Rejuvenation practitioner for 38 years and from my experience I can tell you that Dr. Del Campo is one of the best I have ever seen. I am so fortunate to have had the opportunity to learn from her this most exciting new facial procedure. Thank You Dr. Del Campo for your passion and commitment to excellence. Dr. J. Since dermatologist Steven Mandy is only 5 minutes from my house, the convenience is not an excuse and i refuse to go back to see him ever again. My first appointment with Dr. Mandy went awful. He didnt introduce himself (being a first time patient), hardly made eye contact with me while explaining my conditions and rushed my entire visit. He gave me a negative energy as if i was a burden and wasting his time. Not only is he rude to his patients he is crude to his staff as well. Everyone deserves a second chance so I went back for an emergency visit and just like I can imagined, it was just like my first appointment. I will be getting a second opinion because I do question his diagnosis and mindset. This is the first time leaving a bad review EVER and only gave him one star because I had to.

Based on this doctors credentials, I chose Dr. Mandy as a dermatologist. Aside from the abrupt attitude and rudeness of the physician (taking personal cell phone calls during a biopsy), I also received not one but two incorrect diagnosis. Thankfully, I went for second opinions before following this doctors advice.

My son had an appointment today with Dr. Del Campo. I found her to be very informed and knowledgeable. She answered my one million questions and was not in a rush to leave us. She was friendly with my son, and even talked with me at length about my own dermatology issues. I will absolutely be going back. : )
