Unprofessional and disorganized office! Scheduled two appointments on different days and cancelled both due to THEIR MISTAKES! I waited for these appointments for a month! They didnt even call me to cancel till I took time off of work and on the way there on my appointment day! This place is one of the only two eye centers that my insurance would cover, its an hour and half drive from my home. For the first appointment, I took time off from work to take my son to have his eyes checked out. 20 minutes into the trip, they called me and told me my appointment was cancelled because "there was no doctors". The other office under my insurance coverage didnt have appointments available so I was out of options. I made another appointment with Rowan eye center in the middle of December and was scheduled on January 4, I explained to the scheduling staff what happened on my first appointment and that my sons school resumes on Jan. 5th so I asked them to make sure my appointment wouldnt be cancelled again. Prior to 4th, I called twice on different days to confirm my appointment will be honored on January 4, I was told no problem. On December 30, they called me said they made a mistake and the doctor scheduled on the 4th does NOT see children!!! Im so angry! Rowan eye center is a total waste of time! I definitely will not make another appointment with them and would NOT recommend this disorganized office to anyone! I finally managed to find another doctor but my son will have to skip school to be able to see the doctor because waiting on his appointment with Rowan made us miss the period that my son was on winter break!

I was extremely impressed. I am in the Healthcare field, I even worked as a lab tech making glasses for a Lenscrafteers many years ago. The staff is ok, but the doctor is amazing! You can tell he has a ton of experience and that he actually enjoys his job. He is very personable and Friendly. He listens! He is very thorough. I haver been seeing eye doctors since I was 2. Thats 28 years. I have never had 20/20 vision before, even with corrective lenses. I now do, thanks to Dr. Rowan! I even scheduled an appointment with him for my 3 year old son, to make sure he doesnt have any eye problems, as I did at a young age. Affordable, and definitely worth what you pay. Also accepts insurance.

Me and my husbands first time there and what they told me on the phone was my insurance covers the exam but not the glasses. So then when we went there we got exams and hubby picked glasses out and they said my ears a hundred and my husbands exam is 49 and his glasses were three hundred dredge and somthin so bill was five hundred and somthin like who has that kind of money I used my credit card and then they send me a bill in the mail for eye exams again saying g I owe them I paid in full so not too happy with them never go back there.

Had an emergency with my cornea. I had never been here, but my Optometrist demanded that I go immediately. Rowan Eye Center agreed to welcome me as a new patient right at that moment!! The staff is incredibly warm, friendly and accomodating . They respected my challenging financial situation and worked with me. They treated me as family, not a patient.

Dr. Rowan did my eye surgery in December. I got PRK which is similar to LASIK, but they do not cut a flap, they just laser the top of your eye. My vision is now 20/20 and I couldnt be happier!
