My simple procedure left scarring on my forehead. In addition to that, I visited one more time, and I was misquoted on what was covered by insurance by the office staff. After receiving information from my insurance company that differed from what they told me, I called and they said I wouldnt be charged. Then they sent me a bill. When I called the office to discuss, they didnt want to talk to me. They said I had to talk to the billing company, even after I asked if I could talk to someone about being unhappy with my procedure. Im very disappointed in this practice. I will not be back and would not refer this practice to anyone.

Dr Mahoney is absolutely fantastic! Saw him today for the first time and I cant say enough good things. Very pleasant demeanor, kind and caring. It was obvious from the beginning that his number one priority is caring for his patients. He listened well and also provided good, clear information. I never felt as though he was trying to do more than was necessary, yet he was very thorough. If you are in the Pinellas Co area and are looking for a Dermatologist, I highly highly recommend Dr Mahoney. Five stars.

Literally BEST pediatric dermatologist. I drive from tampa to see him for my child and out of our insurance network. We have been to multiple dermatologists and Mahoney has been the only one to help my childs eczema. He is knowledgeable, tells you the pros & cons, takes his time with you. Office staff always calls me back and went above and beyond for our circumstances. My daughter can finally function and as a family we can finally enjoy our lives.

Very friendly and professional. He did a good job and I would use him again. My only issue is the price verbally quoted was half what I was actually billed. My fault for not getting a written estimate. I would have shopped around or worked with my insurance company on coding the claim differently if I had known the actual cost.

Outstanding customer service from the time I called for an appointment to the time we left the office! Dr. McKinley was more concerned about our daughters health than making a buck and cutting out moles unnecessarily as was the case at another area dermatology office. So happy we found Dr. Mahoneys office!

Nice office, wait time good billing - not good quotes/pricing - not good treatment of warts- not good treatment options for warts - poor / made things worse (2 treatments) We have UHC, and still paid $600 + out of pocket!!!!! INSANE!!! **also... beware... likely will be seeing a PA, versus the Dr.!!!

Dr. Mahoney is a great dermatologist. He is very knowledgeable and also extremely sensitive to his patients needs, both physically and emotionally/psychologically. There are very few doctors of his caliber and I would have no problem recommending him to my closest friends.
