Plant City Dentistry deserves 0 stars however as you all know its mandatory you pick at least one in order to write a review. Plant City Dentistry has a horrible rating however they were in network (with my insurance company) so I decided to give them a chance. I should of known there were severe internal problems going on when Casey (one of the head office staff), Lynn (the hygienist) and Dr. Dahman all left within the matter of a month or two. This was a RED FLAG now looking back at it! Since that time I made an appointment for a periodontal cleaning as well as an appointment for ZOOM Whitening for my daughter and I which was to be done on the same day. About 2 weeks later I called the office to request that they send some needed documents. I had the DISPLEASURE of speaking with Gina who abruptly places me hold in the middle of me conveying to her the reason for my call. She then comes back to the phone and as Im telling her that I have an upcoming appointment for ZOOM she proceeds to ever so rudely interrupt me and says "Mam we dont do ZOOM Whitening"! I said to her "Hmmm well thats funny because me and one of your co workers had a whole conversation about it when setting the appointment". She then says to me "Lisa! I will not be talked to like a child" and proceeds to hang up the phone. GINA continued to pickup and hang up the phone at her place of employment, roughly 3-5 times. I never once raised my voice to this individual nor did I swear at her. She had absolutely no reason to hang up in the first place, let alone multiple times. GINA and Plant City Dentistry as a whole are the epitome of RUDENESS and UNPROFESSIONAL ISM at its fullest effect!!!! Once I finally did get someone else to answer the office phone I made a second request for the documents that I was initially in need of and also requested for a supervisor to call me so that I could advise them of my encounter with the infamous and mad at the world "Gina". This incident took place on either March 7th or March 8 and I just received a call today (3/17) from a "supervisor" named Katie who had nothing to say. She advised me that she would talk to Gina on Monday and that was basically the extent of it, even after I advised her that she just lost 3 patients over hiring someone who has the customer service skills of a WILD BOAR! So many people lack respect and customer service nowadays that it has become the norm. They do not care at all!!! Its all about the "All Mighty Dollar". If you leave their practice, they have another within a week. Paying the money that you took to another Dr. So when they look at it like that there really is no reason that they should CARE. This is extremely sad that this is the way that our society has become! I hope whoever reads this definitely considers the experience I have had at this office and I am not alone with the dissatisfaction with Plant City Dentistry! That is for sure, just look at all the many negative reviews!!!!

Just like one of the other reviews says. Everything is nice up front, clean office, pleasant people. But boy do they screw you on the back end with the bills. Money is tight, just like everyone else. They told me I needed work done. I signed a paper agreeing on the amount I was going to pay. Asked them several times if that was everything. They assured me several times that yes, this was the total cost it would be. I get the work done, pay my entire portion that day. Then a couple weeks later I get a bill telling me I owe another $54! WHAT!? So I call them up to find out why I am being charged more. Then of course I get the BS run around about why I owe more money. But here is the kicker to it all. When I called them about the extra $54 charge, now all the sudden its $82. HAHAHAHAHAH. So the original payment I agreed upon has now almost doubled. Probably wouldnt have had the work done or paid it all at once had I known that they were just going to keep adding to my bill over the next couple weeks. Im just waiting for the next bill to randomly show up so they can make up some more crap excuses as to why all the sudden I owe even more money.

I went to Plant City Dentistry. My teeth were X-rayed and a dentist examined my teeth. The dentist examining my teeth said I had three (3) cavities that needed to be filled. I was instructed to make an appointment to have my cavities filled. That dentist appeared to be phony to me so I decided to get a copy of my X-rays from Plant City Dentistry and go to another dental office to have my teeth examined. The dentist studies the X-rays from Plant City Dentistry and then examined my teeth. The first comment of this dentist was I have good news, "YOU HAVE NO CAVITIES". I thought now I have two conflicting reports on my teeth. I decided to go take the Plant City Dentistry E-rays to a third dental clinic and have a dentist examine the Plant City X-rays and my teeth. Once again the dentist said, "YOU NO CAVITIES". I WILL NOT RETURN TO PLANT CITY DENTISTRY. I COULD NOT TRUST THEM TO BE HONEST WITH ME ABOUT THE NEEDS OF MY TEETH. IF YOU GO THE PLANT CITY DENTISTRY THEY MAY DRILL AND FILL TEETH THAT HAVE NO CAVITIES.

Beware: Unfriendly and seemed sketchy! Called to find out if they took my insurance and they refused to say. Would only say they took all PPOs. I finally found where it said it was PPO and it said to make sure they were in the insurances network for lower prices. I asked several times if they were and the lady refused to answer. She would only say that they took the insurance so it didnt matter. Think they were too lazy to look up the insurance provider to check and would be happy to bill be more if they were out of network so they just didnt care.

Went to this office because its closer to my home. They told me I had to have thousands of dollars of work done to my mouth. Ive went to the same dentist all my life with no issues (I get cleanings every 4 months) made me question my life long dentist, said they see it all the time. they will lie to you and tell you that you have good insurance then send you bills for lots of $... they change dentist out so you do not see the same one because they moved on... do not go here... same thing is happening to my dad and co-worker...

I absolutely love Plant City Dentistry! I had a tooth extracted and barely felt a thing! Dr. Mendoza is amazing. She is very courteous and patient with you. She is easy going and is super gentle with your mouth. On top of that the office staff is wonderful also. Very nice and informative. I will definitely be going back. They may be a little on the pricey side, but its so worth it when it comes to the type of treatment you are provided. I will definitely recommend this office and doctor to everyone!
