Dr. Mills and his staff are the absolute best there is!!! We came to Dr. Mills when our Chow was diagnosed with hip dysplasia and all the other vets we went to just kept writing us a prescription for pain pills. Our family is already not big on pills and these only made him sleep all day and become depressed. We took him to Dr. Mills and he began a whole other process. He began by taking him off the pills and starting him on things such as glucosamine and fish oil, along with some other natural remedies to help with pain. Needles to say you would never of known how much pain he was in when we initially brought him in by looking at him now, it is a total turn around! We moved our Doberman to him shortly after. We rescued a kitten about two weeks ago with a list of problems. Dr. Mills not only set her up on a plan for success, that will literally save her life but, he also worked with us on the medications giving us only half of the full bottles and so forth (since she is under two pounds she doesnt need a full bottle of medicine) and really cutting down the price. All in all Dr. Mills is clearly in the business of helping animals in every way he can and it clearly shows. He is absolutely hilarious but if you cant handle the truth it may be a little rough for you, hes very straight forward. We definitely recommend Live Oak and we are constantly sending people, including the shelters we adopt from, his way.

Cant believe the way we were treated at this place. Have been a customer for over 7 years. Due to the economic crisis our country has been going through we recently decided to get shots from another vet at a discounted price temporarily. We fully intended to return trusting in Dr. Mills abilities as a great veterinarian. Well Dr. Mills didnt take this news too well. He wrote a letter to my residence firing us from his services because we did so. This man acts like a childish narcissist and has a problem with giving others respect due to his inflated ego. My dog was genuinely hurt and he refused to even take a look, telling the lady who runs the front desk he was "in surgery" and that she would call us later for an appointment. We called later to make an appointment as they did not call and were told that they were no longer accepting "new animals" to the hospital. How could anyone who is in the business of helping animals turn away an injured one for such a petty reason. You should be ashamed of yourself.

I have been a client / friend of Dr. Mills and his staff for 20 years. I greatly appreciate his candor and humor, and he and his staff have the biggest hearts when it comes to our fur babies. I recently had to put down my 9 month old kitten due to a terminal illness and I could not be more pleased as to how Doc and Lisa took care of my little Jaxie..and me. I was a mess and they both knew exactly what to do to console me. I greatly appreciate the entire staff and all they continue to do for me and my pets and I will 100% recommend their services to anyone in need of a great vet! Thank you Doc and staff for all you do...keep up the great work!

Dr. Mills and Staff are absolutely awesome and amazing!!!!! So happy we found them 12 years ago when we took our two little puppies in for a check up and shots and we have been there ever since. Our dogs love boarding there so much they cant wait to get out of the car the minute I pull in the parking lot! They are wonderful and special people and I cant say enough kind things about them we are so grateful for all they have done to take care of our pets they have spoiled them rotten and made us never worry about leaving them there because they are better than family at "Pet Sitting"!

I have worked with small animals since late 1960 and as past President of Florida State Animal Control Officers Association I have dealt with Dr. Mills on numerous occasions. I have had injured wildlife permits from the State of Florida and Federal wildlife permits. Dr. Mills has always been of great service and has great knowledge of both domestic and wild animals. As with him, most of my problems have come from pet owners rather than the animals. He has taken care of all my personal animals and has proven himself as a excellent Vet.

I have used him for years and he has always been great. He tells you like it is, no sugar coating. Most people dont want to hear the truth about themselves or their pets. Having to deal with the snobs from Heathrow who think they know everything must be his most difficult task everyday. He truly cares for my pets. I now live in south Orlando and drive all the way to Sanford so he can treat my pets.

Dr. Mills is a wonderful, knowledgeable vet who loves animals. I have been taking my pets to him for almost twenty years. He has always treated me and my pets with the utmost respect. He is honest, and doesnt blow smoke up your butt, and some people just cant handle the truth. I wish I could find a dr that would take care of me the way he does my furry family!!

Dr. Mills and his staff are a joy to work with. My dog has been seen by this office for more than 6 years. While Dr. Mills style might be called direct or pragmatic, dont confuse that with not caring. His interests are aligned with those of your pets. I appreciated his professionalism.
