I usually do not write reviews but Im doing this in the hopes that they leave me alone and stop contacting me. I had a cleaning done here almost a year ago. It was horrible. The tech did not know what he was doing (he didnt even know how to operate the chair) and he was rude. I also needed to get four severely impacted wisdom teeth pulled out and was told that I could drive to and from that procedure myself without any issues. Huge red flag as Im sure we have all seen those crazy videos of patients after this procedure doing crazy/funny stuff from the meds. That being said, I chose to go elsewhere and never scheduled anything else with this office; however, every few weeks, Ill get calls (more so in the beginning, now just texts) and texts from them about an upcoming appt. I have told them and even texted them numerous times that I did not schedule anything and will not be scheduling anything with them in the future but it keeps happening. They have no shame, Ive received texts at 4am, 8am, nights, weekends, holidays, it doesnt matter. They even texted me this morning at 9am. Ive texted them to stop contacting me and blocked two of their numbers (because obviously what I tell them doesnt matter) but they are still texting me somehow. I feel like Im going through a bad breakup with a clingy boyfriend that wont stop harassing me. Please just leave me alone and stop contacting me.

They refused to honor the groupon cleaning and quoted me a price of $1200 for a deep cleaning. I recently had braces removed and I ask if they can at least remove the bonding residue and they say they will charge me $100 for that. So I got up and left. This is a typical bait and switch scam, lure you in with a $25 groupon and then try to upsell you to the most expensive services. Also you have to pay $2 toll to get there and then $2.67 for parking (1 hour). What a shame, to see a dentist trying to use the same underhanded tactics as a used car salesman. Is there no dignity left in the medical profession anymore? If they had any common sense they would have honored the groupon to at least do the general cleaning and based on the experience I would have considered to do the extensive cleaning but no....they are so eager to get a large fistful of dollars.....that they scared me away. Like an impatient cat that jumps out too soon and the birds fly away into the sky.

Buyer Beware!!!!! Purchased a Groupon and had a cleaning and X-Rays. After being quoted for some work to be done, they refused to release the X-rays without a payment of $105. There is no claim to this charge on Groupon upon purchase. I have never been charged for x-rays by any Doctor I have ever seen. The claim is that we didnt pay for them, however, this is the whole purpose of Groupon. One is being offered a service at a discounted rate. This service should be comparable to the full price paid unless stated within the rules and exceptions prior to purchase. I am aware of one other person to whom this has happened to. Do we really need work or is it a scam to earn more money? The doubt is obviously there as they do not want the patient to seek a second opinion!!

I know and work closely with at least twenty dentists in South Florida on a daily basis. So when it came time to choose my own dentist I knew that I had a lot of options and a lot of insight into how dentists work. Like most of us they are under pressure to get as much value as possible out of each patient/client so the most important aspect of my dentist had to be honesty. I dont want to do any procedures that I dont have to do. Dr. Benmergui is scrupulously honest. This is because he is truly God-fearing - hes an orthodox Jew. I know I can trust him in a way that I cant possibly trust another dentist. Thats the best possible thing I could say about him. Hes clinically talented and very personable of course but honesty is where he stands head and shoulders above the rest.

This was the worst experience I ever had in my life. I wanted dentures they dont fit. This happened 7 months ago I can eat I have been to the hospital three times. I owe a balance but I will not pay it until they fix my dentures. Now I am hearing many other things. I am going to report him to the dental board. I did not have the money to do this my husband is a cancer patient and they know this. I told them he does not work and it is very hard for me to do this but I trusted him and did it anyway. My dentures do not fit and now I need to buy them again. Not nice.

I have been a patient of Dr. Benmerguis at Bal Harbour Smiles for 5 years now, and he is a warm, wonderful, professional, very talented and highly competent Dentist. And everyone one in his office; Technicians and Front Desk staff, are all smart, lovely, caring and very professional as well. It is a pleasure to be their patient, and I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting superior dental care from competent, warm and lovely professionals, at very fair prices. Possibly the rudest and most inept dental service I have ever experienced. Long lines at the front, hygienist had personality as pleasant as a terrorist, the dentist was running behind and I was told I could leave and that he had nothing to check as I didnt have x-rays, and when I approached the office manager with this poor customer experience she told me they must be doing something right as their office is full. Oh gosh, go anywhere else.

Most horrible experience in my life. Simple procedure as X-Rays hurted like hell. Then they did exactly what the other people said. Aggressively tried to scum me into the highest price and refused to honor my groupon service. And all that was done by OFFICE COORDINATOR...not even by doctor. Avoid them like a plague on your teeth. Thanks God, not everyone are like them.

Dirty office and building, wondering how health dept does not close it? More over, super high price for a cheap service, paid for a crown $1800 (with out root canal...) and for a deep cleaning $750. Would never ever go back. BUT, despite the previous commenter, for me faith does not matter when choosing a dentist, only knowledge and clean environment.

Dr. Benmerguy is excellent and his office staff is extremely courteous and very competent. My teeth cleaning went extremely well following his hygienists recommendations. Dr. Benmerguy always does the final check and he cleared up a couple of things very well. I highly recommend Dr. Benmerguys Dental Office.
