First off I want to say they give you a free bag of treats for writing a review thats why they have so many. I had been going to Fairiview for a little over a year with my 1 year old AKC registered golden retriever. I noticed that my baby wasnt eating well so I took him into be seen just in case anything was going on. They noticed a few spots on his skin and redness in his ear and told me it was a food allergy and caused a skin infection So he suggested some things I should take out the diet and prescribed some medication to clear it up. So I went home threw away a 60$ bag of really expensive food and went out to find some alternatives.. Over the next two weeks i noticed things werent really getting better so I took him back in Because I was told to come back for a shot of cortisone if things didnt get Bette This Time while we were in the waiting room the vet assistant came up and immediately went to his ear and said right there it looked like an ear infection After seeing a different doctor she stated the same thing and bam more money for more medications and ear cleaning I was highly upset that my baby had been suffering with this infection and it could have been diagnosed weeks before on top of that i had to pay for another doctor visit and more medication..I honestly feel as if my pup was purposely misdiagnosed my first visit so they could get more money out of me for my follow up There I was 9 months pregnant with a sick golden retriever and the vet was sending me in circles I expressed my unhappiness at the appointment and the only thing that was done they removed the least expensive charge from that days visit less than $15...And to top it all off even after the medicine my dogs ears are still red and inflamed I admit I was suppose to take him back for them to check it but once again I just feel like they were just trying to get more money out of me It really hurts that I trusted them and they let me, my husband, my 2 year old and our puppy down

When your pet is a family member only the best will do. Dr. McKnight and his staff have always been kind, caring and compassionate since my first visit. But it wasn’t until my dog was diagnosed with cancer that showed there true colors. They listened and answered all questions no matter how trivial. A phone call was always returned that day and when necessary was told to bring her in that day. And when he decided it was time to put her on medication for the cancer, he couldn’t find the medication in the form he wanted, so he sent me to one pharmacy to pick up another form. While I was getting it filled, he took it upon himself to call every pharmacy he knew trying to find the medication in the form he preferred. He succeeded locating one bottle from an out of state pharmacy whom shipped it directly to him. It’s the small unexpected things like that by Dr. McKnight and his staff that I have come to appreciate. I have full confidence in everyone at Fairview Animal Hospital and would recommend them for all your pet’s needs.

Dr. McKnifght and Dr, Morley are both great to work with. They care about your pet and you. They concern is real. When I had to put a pet to sleep (I wont name names) I was cried with. They are good at diagnosing problems and general checkups. They do not push unnecessary servies like many vets do. Their costs are fair and reasonable. They have newer high tech equipment like laser and digital xray. The doctors keep up to date on new things and medicines. I show, breed, and rescue. No matter what crazy thing I come up with, they have so far been able to help. They do health certifications, OFAs etc, which are important to show clients. I have seen them rescue many cats and dogs. They know their medicine and are compassionate with their clients. I moved from the area to Alabama. I still make the trip to Fairview for anything my pets need. I cant believe you wil be anything but satisfied!

I just looked at the reviews and I have to agree that the service is excellent. I do want to address the one compaint about the price. FAH is not the cheapest place to go. I did try another vet that was cheaper and I have to say that I got substandard care. If you have a pet that is very sick I would highly recommend FAH. I ask them about price before they do something and they always are accomodating. Their care is on the leading edge veterinary service. In all the years I have been there I never have felt they padded the bill. Dr McKnight has done numerous surgeries and now Dr. Morley has taken over care for my pets. She is thorough, carig and sits down with me and explains everything so completely just as a good friend would. I have moved away from the Fairview area but I would not go anywhere else especially if my pet is very sick.

my house was burned down three weeks ago. one of my cats was burned from his whiskers, to his ears and his toe beans. my sisters friend recommended us fairview hospital because of their reasonable price so we decided to check it out. i was impressed by how friendly and welcoming the staff was when we came in. they also provided us tips and helpful advice on how to take care of my cat that was burned. they also talked to us about reasonable price reductions for the visit, medications and etc. which is very RARE for any animal hospital ive been to. i will definitely come back to this place and recommend it to my friends, family and coworkers. and thank you to the staff of fairview animal hospital for saving my cat!

I dont have a problem with the work these vets do but I do have a problem with what they charge. I see a vet about a mile from here who does just as good of a job for half the price. Another thing that ticked me off was when they did an oral exam of my dog and charged me for extractions after 2 teeth fell out during the exam! Excuse me the teeth fell out, they did not need to be extracted! They seem to pad the bill at every turn. We left a similar vet in Vinings after pet care became second to making the most money. If you have money to burn and cost is not a concern, their work is acceptable but if money is a concern you might want to look elsewhere.
