Went yesterday with a young kitten for vaccination. He had a TERRIBLE reaction to the vaccine. He was almost paralyzed and screamed when touched after getting it and when I called to ask what I should do, I was told to bring him back for pain medication, which no doubt they were going to charge me for. I couldnt get back down there at the time and wouldnt have returned even if I could. The vet didnt ask any questions about the cats behavior at all when he examined the cat. I was so inundated with information about diseases my cats have never had that I didnt get the chance to even tell the vet a few concerns I had. I was charged nearly $60 for a FVRCP vaccine, which is way high. In addition, they told me the cat was 8 weeks and couldnt get his rabies vaccine at that time, when the paper says hes 12 weeks? His weight is listed at 0 lbs on his document so the next vet I see cant even see how much he weighed last time which is important for kittens. He was 3.3 lbs. Wow - so many bad things to say. I only went here trying to save on initial costs since they do free exam and fecals on adoptions from Dekalb Shelter, which I barely saved anything anyway and my kitten had a terrible reaction. Nope! I wont be back here. Also - the kitten was given two vaccinations as indicated by his shelter papers, and they gave him an additional one. The kittens only need three, right? They want me to return in a few weeks for MORE shots that he does poorly on. I shall be taking him to Dearborn where I am used to and I trust. I cant give this clinic a good review. Also, they need to learn how to properly care for fish. They had an overstocked atrocity of a 55 gallon tank including one large Plecostomus which needs a pond or much larger tank, and I believe I saw Rosy Barbs and some other species as well. Gravel was way too thick and tank had a hideous black beard algae problem. Fish are important too and deserve good care. I cant recommend this clinic and I really disliked it thoroughly. The vet was nice but he talked more than he listened and didnt ask any questions about the cats behavior or if I had any concerns or comments about anything. He gave me a sample pack of Advantage Multi and even after I said I already knew what it was he explained it to me. I felt like he thought I was an idiot.

Absolutely friendly staff and extremely professional. Helped to answer questions about our new dog and ensure he had the necessary treatment to get over his kennel cough. Just updating our review after having our poor boy attacked by another dog. The entire staff continues to go above and beyond taking our annoying calls about advice and giving him the best treatment possible. The staff truly cares about animals and their knowledge is only surpassed by their kindness. In a nutshell, THESE GUYS ARE FANTASTIC!!!!

Went there three times and got no answers. Was told they didnt know what was causing my dog to limp and to just keep feeding her pain pills for the rest of her life. Also couldnt tell me if my dog was pregnant or not. Vet didnt know how long the gestation period for a dog was. Had to Google it. Unprofessional, rude, and incompetent. Also expensive. $500 later and no answers. Also, bad bedside manner. Would not recommend

Dr. Williams is direct and no nonsense. The staff are friendly and caring. My favorite thing is they do not try to upsale me. My pets get the care they need, but I am never pressured to do more than I feel is necessary. I feel my pets are well cared for and I am not taken advantage of.

I agree with Samantha on this one. The vet here was nice; the staff was nice; but I felt they were trying to guilt me into expensive care for my dog. Weve been using Dr. Gibson in Pine Lake. We love him!
