I have had an absolutely horrible experience with Marietta Dermatology. If you try to call and make an appointment, be sure you have at least 30 minutes to spend on the phone. Every single time I have called, Ive waited at least that long just to speak with someone. Once you finally make your appointment (there will not be anything available for at least a few weeks, even if youre an existing patient) and you arrive at the office, you will wait for at least one hour. That is in the waiting room, and not including the time waiting to be seen in an exam room. Every nurse I have seen has been horribly rude. The first time that I came in, I was promised a phone call by the end of the week regarding my next appointment and when the medicine I needed would be available. I did not receive a phone call for a week and a half, so I called them myself and waited for an hour to speak with a woman who told me that they would call me when the medicine was available, most likely by the end of that week. After another week and a half, having received no phone call, I tried to contact them again. I was on hold for so long that I had to hang up. The next week, I contacted them another time, and I finally managed to set up an appointment. I saw a doctor on my first visit, and when I next came in to receive treatment (after those weeks of attempting to contact someone in the office), I saw a physicians assistant who offered a different treatment than what the doctor had recommended (meaning he would not be using the medicine I waited weeks for). When I mentioned this, he spoke to me as if I was an idiot, explaining that he simply disagreed. For whatever reason, I agreed to have his treatment, and needless to say, I was back in the office about a month later, as it hadnt worked. The physicians assistant this time reluctantly offered me the treatment originally recommended by the dermatologist (though again he offered me yet a different treatment-- I cant understand why he was so reluctant to agree with the doctor. If there was some valid reason, he never offered it to me.) Please, do yourself a favor and visit a different office. Id thought that perhaps, the first time, they were simply having a bad day-- maybe even on the day of my second visit, as well. After the third, I realize that this must be how they run their office. I am certainly finding a new practice.

I posted on facebooke for recommendations of a dermatologist in the Marietta/Woodstock area. Just thought I would give my feedback. I had many recommendations for Marietta Dermatology...I booked an appointment for me, my husband and my mom...out of the 3 of us only 1 received the reminder phone call about the appointment, and only 2 were actually able to get past the waiting room. The temporary card I had from the insurance company was unacceptable (even though my husband used the same card and was seen), and the practice "could not call to verify" my coverage or not. My health care representative bounced around in billing for around 40 minutes trying to talk with someone to get things cleared up so I could see the doctor. 40 minutes after my arrival I was told I could "self pay" for the entire visit, and then get reimbursed by the insurance company...Mary, I believe was the receptionist that seemed more concerned with her FB page than waiting clients...then 42 minutes after my arrival I was told that they had to cancel my appointment. They did follow up with me 15 DAYS later to see if I would like to come in and self pay for a visit, loose more time off work, without a discounted rate until my hard copy card came in, which I thought was very thoughtful...The doctors may be great, however, between the receptionists, billing, and office management, one hand doesnt know what the other is doing at all...just my two cents.

Had an allergic reaction to an antibiotic given to me by my urologist. I called this office and they saw me immediately which was great. The office is really nice inside but I do think the young girls at the front desk are a little unprofessional. Dr. Raman showed concern for my issue and seemed to really know what he was doing. For a new patient visit, it was $160 (billed to insurance), which seems about average, unlike some specialists who charge over $400 to insurance for a new patient visit. They saw me immediately, Dr. Raman solved my issue and gave me a different antibiotic to clear up my rash, and the charge was not outrageous, especially for a new patient. They didnt call me 100 times to schedule a follow up, didnt really seem to be desperate for money, and they had a plastic surgeons office inside the building too. I would recommend this place.

I went this office just wanted to know whats growing on my face. I asked a Dr. for biopsy. She said the result will be ready by the end of the week. If I dont hear from them by the end of the week, call them. Ok I called them on Monday and immediately after I said I need to get result of biopsy, they sent me to voice mail of a nurse. I called them back, then they said it will take usually a week to get a call back. So, that will take 2 weeks to get just a result?! I dont know for what I went to this office if I cant get the result soon enough. Worst admin system I ever experienced! Meanwhile, I have more itchness from the growth and more bumps around it.

I have seen Dr. Espy since I was a young child (Im 48 now). I was so sad to hear his last day was today. I will get the first to tell you that I am definitely afraid to go see anyone else because he has always been an excellent doctor, so kind and gentle. I went to the West Cobb office because its close to my home and was disappointed at how they treated me. So, I ask only one thing from you, please keep that same friendly atmosphere you all at the Marietta office have always had and please give me a "good, kind, understanding, gentle, etc. DOCTOR! Ill,miss you Dr. Espy!

I went to get a mole biopsied, and was extremely overcharged, but figured it was my fault for not asking how much out of pocket it would cost. The next time I went, I asked exactly how much the procedure would cost, and they got back to me the next day with the amount that I would be billed after my insurance coverage. When I got my bill, it was 3 times the amount they quoted me! They denied ever giving me the quote, and insisted that I pay the exorbitant amount! I will never use these liars again.

Way IMPOSSIBLE to speak to a human over the phone. Staff is rude when they call back for appointments when requested via their website. Stephen Steiner, PA made my condition by far WORST and I waited almost a month before they called me back to tell me they will call back in four weeks because they were booked...but they never did. Im so glad that I found another office and they know how to take care of their patients. I rather die than go back to this office. (Save your skin and money) go else where
