Ive been there twice. Needed stitches both times. Now over the past thirty years or so, Ive had this happen on numerous occasions so Ive got a pretty good idea on how long this should take for three stitches (fifteen minutes tops if its straightforward and you have a slow doc). So I got there, got signed in (two people ahead of me). Sat down for a bit and casually asked how long the wait was running. I was told that it would be an hour and a half wait. Now I dont know about you but my definition of "Immediate Care" runs a little more quickly than that. I mean if there is a serious medical situation going on I can understand waiting (though thats usually what an ER is for). So I left and got butterfly stitches from Walgreens. Saved money on my deductible, anyway. Bottom line - despite its name there is nothing "immediate" about the place. If you NEED something inside of two hours, go to the ER or somewhere else.

They never seem very busy, but I usually have to wait a while. I went in on a Sunday because I had an earache. They ran a strep test, just to be safe. After that came back negative, they told me it was probably a sore throat, causing my ear to hurt. They sent me on my way with a prescription for antibiotics. 2 months later, and I owe $300! They bill your insurance for 3 separate things. 1. A walk-in clinic charge. 2. A physician charge. 3. A "room" charge! The whole total bill added up to over $500! My insurance covered the physicians fee, and the first $200 of everything else. Now Im stuck with $300 towards my deductible because they feel the need to grossly overcharge for separate things! Seems like a complete lack of ethics to charge $500+ when I was there for only about 25 minutes!

October 13, 2011 my husband and I went to Sherman Immediate care in Algonquin. We are new to the area and have not yet found a primary Doctor and did not want to waste the time at a hospital. Everything went good in the begging, we walked in only one person was waiting and they took our info right away. We barely sat down in the waiting area and were escorted to the back. Then we waited 3hrs back there until we saw a doctor. My husband opened the door a number of times, saw the same nurses, and doctor just standing around talking every time. Then we had to wait 30min for our discharge papers. We should have just went to the hospital it probably would have been quicker. We will NOT be going back there!!!!!!!!!!!!!

September 6, 2011 I have been to Sherman Immediate Care: Algonquin on different occasion for different reasons with different members of my family over the years. I visited there today for a blood test. I was told to sign in, and I would been seen shortly. There were about 5 other people in the waiting room. I was up filling out paperwork in about 5 mins. and waited barely another 5 for the nurse to draw my blood. All staff members were polite, thorough, and professional.
