Just Heard a Story that I still cannot believe. A woman of Indian decent walked into the lobby of this hospital with her elderly father and two children. The Receptionist behind the counter told her that her children were not allowed on the ICU floor she explained that her father would be unable to find his way alone again her children were not allowed she asked the receptionist if he would watch her two sleeping children in car seats so that she could take her elderly father to the bedside of his wife in ICU he nodded his head in agreement and then made a name tag for her an her father so she proceeded upstairs. When she returned to the lobby after about 5-8 minutes she was greeted by police officers not allowing her to leave the building the receptionist seeming to be happy about her distress. One security officer questioned the receptionist as to why he would call the police as he knew that her mother was in the ICU and just wanted to make sure her father made it upstairs safely. The more I think about this situation makes me certain that this woman was most likely treated poorly because of her broken English as this woman is of Indian decent. If the receptionist could not accomidate the initial request then why did he not offer to escort her elderly father upstairs to his very ill wife in the ICU. I intend to tell everyone I see of this womans unfortunate and outright bigoted experience in this hospital. This woman was dealing with a serious illness in their family and their treatment was horrific. Her doctor told her to keep her head down and just keep saying sorry what type of place is this hospital. Makes me sick!!!

I never ever write reviews but since my experience today was so horrible, it would be wrong not to warn others. I am 6 months pregnant and took my toddler to get her blood drawn today. I pre-registered to avoid a long line- plus had to pick up my 1 yr old by 530 pm. I arrived at 345 pm. Was not seen by the phlebotomist until 430 pm. They had only 1 on duty (ridiculous). I had my iPhone set to my daughters favorite artist (adele) so she would not cry during the blood draw. Phlebotomist could not get her vein punctured! She had to draw her blood 4 times from both arms. May I remind you that I had a toddler who is not exactly thrilled to be getting pricked by a long needle who is wrestling me while I am 6 months pregnant. Then, they were supposed to give me a urine bag so I could also do a urine collection at home. They could not locate one. Took them 15 minutes just to locate the U-bag for me! From start to finish, it took almost 2 hrs. I arrived at 345 and left at 525. Appalling. I was super late to pick up my baby from daycare and was charged. So not only was the customer service appalling and lab beyond terrible but the visit ended up costing me money! And, NO APOLOGIES from the staff at all to boot. Will not go to another Centegra facility.

If at all posible I would give it zero stars. My mom came in tonight complaining of stomach pain for the past 3 days. They left her in the waiting room with an iv. And waiting on a blood test. 4 hours later she signed herself out. They never kept her informed with anything. What if it was internal bleeding or ulcers? Then nurse rachet supervisor of e.r. name NICOLE for that night . I called and tried to get the situation out of my mouth, she kept over talking me, not letting me finish the conversation. And when i finally did I said to her what if she is brought back by rescue, she had the nerve to tell me well were full, so she would not be treated here by any of the staff. Are you friggen kidding me? And slammed the phone in my ear. Wow show me your real age, cant handle the facts that your hospital you stand for is a pos. And after reading the other reviews, no wonder. This place is a joke. I will never take my mom there. And I will find out who that women is that disrespected me and take this matter higher. Just so absolutely disgusted with what I delt with tonight, nothing is worse than having your mom call you crying her eyes out in tears for not receiving the help she needed to get.

I just delivered there on the 11th. It was a great experience especially considering I went through such a bad one through northwest. Because northwest community sent me home the same day 7 hrs earlier with contractions I almost delivered at home. I was in severe pain and couldnt walk at 9:45p.m. I told my dh to call 911. Turns out smartest decision we made. We were 5 minutes away from Centegra. Within 6 minutes of me entering the Centegra Huntley hospital via paramedics my son was born. No time for epidural but there was time for the nurses to make sure I was comfortable and make sure my delivery was as smooth as possible. The physician who I never met before delivery was there was awesome as well. Afterward they answered every question I had and I hadnt met one bad nurse or doctor there. They were super helpful and super nice. The food was great and so was the mini facial as well. My son was with me the whole time which was something I didnt get with Northwest when I had my first son. I would recommend any new or second, third, etc mothers to make this their delivery hospital if given a choice. Trust me you wont be disappointed.

This hospital is awful, warning you now do not go here. Came in 3 weeks ago got a CT, ER doctor told me it was ovarian cysts. Followed up with OBGYN a few days later, was told there was no cysts on the CT. Still had stomach pain, followed up with primary doctor. Had a gallbladder ultra sound, called me and told me to come to the ER because I had pancreatitis. Get to the ER, they say it is NOT pancreatitis. Draw blood, do another CT, say everything looks ok but that they wanted to admit me for a specific gallbladder test in the morning. Waited here all morning, doctors came in telling me it is just constipation. pushed laxatives on me, mind you I have eaten nothing to be able to even have any output. GI doctor comes in, we are told they do not even do the test here. THEY DO NOT EVEN DO THE GALLBLADDER TEST HERE. Told us to schedule it for next week and that I could go home. They wasted my money, ran up a bill for NO REASON. I was admitted to undergo a test that they do not even have here. Such an awful hospital and will NEVER see centegra doctors again.

Worst ER department and billing around! Very unprofessional, and untrained. ER doctor misdiagnosed my 3yo ( good thing I knew enough to not follow through on his order or prescription!)the nurse had no clue what she was doing and I ended up having to tell her why the blood pressure cuff wasnt working... she didnt have the cords plugged into the cuff. Very unorganized as it took the nurse a while to find a room in an empty ER! No breakdown on the bill just a huge total for horrible service and misdiagnosis. Disputing the charges for almost 2 months and we get a letter in the mail from someone we have not spoke with. Their own staff told us on the phone that the charges were high and should be lowered, but Nope according to this random letter they dont care about over charging for poor or wrong services. They also addressed the letter to my 3yo. Will never set foot in this hospital again. Go anywhere else this is an awful place.
