My entire family has been going to see him for 7 years. Our experience is that he is friendly, interested in his patients as people and thorough. He is excellent at putting anxious patients at ease through his laid back demeanor and humour. When various family members have had health issues that potentially could have had either fairly benign (e.g., indigestion/IBS) or serious (e.g.,cancer, ulcers) causes, he has always given us immediate referrals to specialists for further tests. He also swiftly diagnosed some atypical presentations of illnesses, and others that were very uncommon in the age group of our involved family member. He is a strong advocate for preventive health care and life style, which we appreciate. If we had to find one thing to complain about, he does have a tendency to prescribe expensive name medications. However, if you ask for a generic, he will readily prescribe one; and for a brief period of time when my husband lost his job and I had a major downturn in my consultany (so we had neither income nor health insurance), he gave us sufficient medicines to treat the family members condition from his own store of free samples. Our experience with his staff has been very good as well. They are pleasant and polite over the phone and will make every effort at setting up an appointment that will work for you. We have never had problems with lost records or documents.

When I called asking for an appt for my 13 year old who was showing flu like symptoms Tina in the office told me a BALD FACED LIE!! she said that it is now the state of Illinois policy to not allow doctors to treat patients with the flu, that they all need to go to the hospital! When asked if he could get a perscription for Tamiflu Tina said that its against Illinois policy for doctors to perscribe this!! She kept saying that I had to take him to the hospital....bottom line: Dr. Bart is no longer our doctor.

Called to leave a msg to Dr. Bartolomeo about patient, I was really happy that who ever was answering the phone did not swear at me, but hag up! I have a filing that if she would be near by me, she would hit me. Another time I was a witness when older patient was trying to schedule an appointment, they hang up on him too. I hope Dr. B will see my note and teach his staff how to provide a good costumer service.

Ive been seeing Dr. B for many many years. He is a great doctor. He doesnt like to prescribe medicine unless absolutely necessary. He listens to me when I have concerns and talks me through the issues. He speaks to me like a patient, using words that I can understand. Hes very kind, all the staff in his office are great as well. Its also very easy to get last min appointments. I highly recommend

For regular appointments and check-ups and some illnesses, I think they are terrific! Dr. Bartolomeo is friendly, knowledgeable and really listens. Great office staff, too. Its nice that they take walk-ins as well. A great location and a well run operation. Thanks!

I think the office Help is very bad and I am think of changing Dr. for that reason alone. I love Dr. Bart. but he needs to get professional help in the office
