Dr. Shah prescribed an antibiotic for me. 2 days later, after a hard workout, I began to experience severe swelling in my left calf. I’ve read that antibiotics can cause tendon flare-ups (specifically in this area), so I called Dr. Shahs office and gave my symptoms and history. I was given no feedback from the office at all other than, “If you want any information, you have to make an appointment. We can see you next week.” Clearly nobody with any medical training ever received my message. If they had, the obvious response would have been, “You need to go to the ER right now.” With no guidance from my doctors office, I was left to my own internet-guided intuition on this thing. It really felt exactly like a pulled muscle, and I went on assuming I was having a reaction to the antibiotic. Days later I discovered that I had a bad case of DVT (blood clot) in my leg, a part of which had broken off and moved to my lungs. Is it Dr. Shah’s fault that I didn’t go to the ER earlier? No. Would I expect this kind of symptom to receive attention from my doctor’s office when I tell them about it over the phone? Of course. I was released from the hospital and called Dr. Shaw’s office to ask for an email so I might alert someone beyond the doltish receptionist that their policy of “Dr. Shah talks to nobody, receives messages from no one”, might be in some cases flawed. I explained the above story and the response was literally, “If you are having problems with your prescription, you can call the nurse. Her hours are…” It was bizarre. Like talking to a robot devoid or deprived of the ability to think for itself. Like so many folks have said: Do yourself a favor. Select a different dermatologist.

When I went for my appointment, Dr. Shahs assistant was friendly and personable and put me at ease right away. When Dr. Shah examined me, she took the time to talk with me, answer my questions, look at every mole and skin discoloration I had no matter how many I was paranoid about. Dr. Shah was knowledgeable, friendly, and not in a rush to move on to some other appointment. Even on my first visit she took the time to remove a couple unsightly skin issues I had since they were giving me a lot of grief. I highly recommend Dr. Shah. Even the front desk guy was courteous on the phone when he called to confirm my appointment. I needed to reschedule and didnt give me a lecture on cancellations or some fee he would charge for rescheduling, he simply found me a time that worked for me. When he called to confirm my next appointment, I asked to confirm the address and he took the time to explain where they were located. I am so used to front office staff being rude and abrasive. My experience with Dr. Shah and her staff was refreshing, all the way around.

Never before have I encountered such an UNPROFESSIONAL, UNETHICAL, & condescending doctor. She did not even cursorily introduce herself or glance at my patient information. Within minutes she had written up a lengthy list of products for a skincare regimen (to be bought there, of course)- BUT I WAS THERE FOR HER TO CHECK SOME MOLES!I couldnt believe it- I reiterated my primary concern and she said tersely that mole checks would be a separate visit. After I protested, saying that was the primary reason for my visit, she became very terse & dismissive & didnt even look at the moles under a light (but did biopsy one). When I asked if the others looked fine (looking for reassurance), she snarkily asked me if I wanted her to say that they were abnormal. The final insult was when she opened the examining room door before I was able to put my shirt fully back on. I could go on, but do I need to? Pick a different dermatologist!

HORRIBLE office staff. I found the dr to be nice and professional. Addressing my concerns. However she prescribed a VERY PRICEY skin care regimen - all products sold through her office. She expected monthly follow-up visits. When I called back to ask about leaving a message for the doctor, I was told, "She doesnt have a voicemail box" and that its "office policy" for her staff to address all issues. When I asked how I could get in touch with MY doctor, they said, "Make another appointment and you can discuss your concerns with her." If you want a doctor you can talk to, trust and have a long standing relationship with, find someone else.

I was a patient here for over 7 years. I had a spot on my cheek that was treated for pre-skin cancer by Dr. Shah. I was told that the spot was like a weed and even though we treated with various methods it would come back. I decided to see another Dermatologist who immediately biopsied the spot. It was basil cell carcinoma - skin cancer. I had to have Mohs surgery to remove the skin cancer. I have since had 4 more skin cancers removed and only because my new Dermatologist does a complete head to toe body check.

We love Dr Shah. She is intelligent, compassionate and friendly. We were recommended by a friend who was happy with her treatment. Our family has benefited from her services, and I highly recommend her office to anyone looking for a dermatologist.
