My heart is filled with gratitude to Dr. Alex and the wonderful team at Aspen Dental in Glen Carbon, IL. I hadnt been to a dentist in many years, and the longer I put off going, the more shame and apprehension I felt. A painful tooth abscess, along with a very encouraging referral from lab tech Bridget, brought me to Aspen, where I was treated promptly. I was so relieved that I didnt receive any shameful or discouraging messages for having shied away from a dental office for such a long time. I found the team to be very welcoming, warm, friendly, positive, cheerful and supportive, so it felt like I was in a safe place to heal. The team seemed to root for me (no pun intended) to be restored to good oral health, and to develop lifelong, healthy habits to maintain it. Kudos to Dr. Alex, who patiently and efficiently extracted my abscessed tooth (and another tooth the next week), with excellent results, and will be doing further work to help restore my other teeth. Krystal, dental assistant, showed me much empathy while taking my dental x-rays, and she even compassionately held my hand during the tooth extraction, helping to allay my fears. When I returned the following week for a deep cleaning of my teeth (which had always seemed daunting to me because of how long it had been since the last time), Kiah, the hygienist, helped me to feel comfortable and at ease. She was sensitive and attentive to my needs, and she really went to work on cleaning my teeth, actually turning it into a pleasant experience. I highly recommend Dr. Alex and the team at Aspen. Thank you for the great work you do. You perform a very important service, transforming lives by working together to bring care, hope and healing....not just to broken, neglected teeth like mine, but to each person who reaches out to you for help, restoring a bit of lost dignity. You took what felt like a hopeless situation and turned it around, and youve raised my awareness of the vital need for treating and maintaining good oral health, which we may tend to overlook or take for granted....so that we can live healthier, happier, more peaceful lives, with a smile! ; ) Youre much appreciated for who you are and what you do. Thank you!

First visit was for a cavity filling that had chipped. Only went there because i am in college and im three hours away from my regular family dentist. They took x-rays then tried telling me that I needed a root canal just for that chipped filling, which the filling was still 90% in place, I was in no pain and had no sensitivity with it. Then they said that all of my cavity fillings needed to be replaced and that I have six new cavities. Mind you that my oldest filling is only two years old and the newest 6 months.. The price to get the chipped filling fixed was going to be $120 and for the root canal $2300. Big difference. I just went back to my family dentist at home (she has been in practice for over 22 years), and she saw NO new cavities, and checked all of my fillings and said that they were in good shape. She also fixed my chipped cavity filling with replacing the old filling with a new one and saw absolutely no need for a root canal. Some might need to go back to dental school, or cut the greed. Not recommended, go to a private practice.

The staff was friendly and nice.. the dentist did a good job fixing my teeth.. the problem I had was they mischarged my debit card and over charged me.. I had to pay about $500 dollars to get my teeth fixed that the insurance wouldnt cover ..the charged me $770..They did get that resolved after I noticed it and called in. Then next time I went to get my crown put on they tried to charge me another $237 dollars after I was told that all I had to pay was the $500 on the first visit that I already paid that they over charged me for.. after telling the guy at the desk a couple times that I had already paid he said they rebilled the insurance and I still had a balance ..then he goes in the back and talks to the manager and she tells him that I dont have a balance and dont have to pay anything ..but thats twice that if I wouldnt of checked my account closely or told the guy at the desk i already paid and was paying again they would of ended up over charging me about $500.. I dont think it was on purpose but I dont know for sure..

I have a horrific fear of the dentist!!!! I had put off dental work to the point that my mouth is in horrific shape and Aspen dental in Glen Carbon, Il, from Anita who scheduled my appointment, Doctor who was PHENOMENAL from the minute he walked in the room, to Krystal, the amazing young lady who took my impressions and helped me breath through my nose and wiggle my toes to Christian who went above and beyond, ALL went above and beyond worked with me to make a plan I am happy with, assured me they will do everything to make me comfortable including provide a blanket, I am so very pleased with the kindness and warmth of the dentist office that I actually look forward to going to the dentist, and at 47 that is HUGE since I have always hated the dentist to the point I would rather give birth EVERY day, and I have 4 children lol. Thank you Aspen of Glen Carbon, IL

Hands down my best trip to the dentist ever. Hadnt been to the dentist in years and was nervous to say the absolute lease. However, one of the assistants Jessica, helped me with my paperwork and got my X-Rays done lickity split! I didnt quite know what to expect about going back to the dentist but her overall bubbly personality undoubtedly put me at ease in an otherwise unavoidably tense situation. Beyond that, the rest of the team at Aspen helped out immensely from the actual dentistry, to helping me look at payment options, etc... Would recommend time and time again, as I already have to a few of my friends who are in similar situations with not having been in quite some time. I had about an hour drive two teeth pulled, all in all it might of took 2-3 hours maximum from start to finish and I was able to drive home immediately.

The staff is amazing and they worked well with me even though I had no insurance. They were very patient and understanding of my needs, wants, and concerns. The entire staff was hospitable and personable. They made me feel like I was at home, like I had been going there for years even though I was a new patient. All my issues were addressed and fixed in one visit because thats what worked for me as a traveller. Also, I adore that Aspen Dental stays open past most offices regular hours one day a week. Its almost unheard of to see a dentist office open until 8pm. The only downfall is that I am experiencing pain still, the evening of the following day.. But in their defense I got a LOT of work done at one time to avoid needing to come back.

Unfortunately I recently had to have all of my teeth pulled. I had an unfortunate experience with my new dentures. I called Aspen Dental in Glen Carbon and spoke with Katie. She was very polite and curteous and set me up with an appointment right away when I told her the problems I was having with my dentures. I came in and met with Dr. Alex; he was just as friendly and kind as Katie was and told me he would be more than happy to make me a new set of dentures that I would be happy with. We are currently on the final step before completing the dentures, and so far it has been a very positive experience and I would recommend Aspen Dental in Glen Carbon to anyone!
