I usually do not write bad reviews, but felt it a must. My fifteen year old dog was brought in due to not eating and extreme weight loss. The Vet ascertained her malady was due to her gums being swollen and her teeth. Went home with meds- this trip $200.00+. In a week had to bring her back in to have another Vet look her over and a blood test was completed - visit in excess of $160.00. Received a call from the Office stating her blood workup was fine. The fact is her blood test was not fine and stated due to an elevated level the possibility of Pancreatitis could be present. After reading the report, made up my mind to take her an amazing Vet in the city, who palpated her stomach area and felt a very large tumor. The determination at that point was to put my girl to sleep. I feel the Vets at Lansing should have contacted us with a suspected issue with her pancreas; and when we first brought her in why didnt they feel the tumor?Truly a money maker for them at my dogs expense and her undue suffering of which she didnt have to endure for almost 4 weeks. Very disappointed with her treatment. Unfortunately would not recommend this facility.

I have been taking my animals to this place for well over a decade, and have never had any issues with any of my dozen of animals over my time going there! Even though the doctors I started with have retired, I have always been happy with their services regardless of what doctor I saw. Dr. Thatcher is the newest doctor I have met there, and has been nothing but caring, down to earth, honest, and amazing. I am one of those people who worry too much about my animals, and probably over treat them because I want to ensure I never neglect any issue that arises.... she gets my craziness and concern, and is so great with my furbabes. In fact, all the staff are great! The front desk receptionist Jessica, Manager Kim, and Vet tech Andrea are just a few who have always treated me and my animals so well. They know my name as soon as I walk-in. Dr. Ritter and Medhurtst are also great!!. I have never felt over- charged or under-served. I always leave happy and satisfied, and trust them with all my babies. I love the walk-in hours, it has saved me so many times, over the regular appt scheduling. LOVE this place and recommend them all the time.

I brought my dog in for eating chocolate and they did great helping out with that (despite the price being as high as an emergency vet). However, they called me and told me my dog had a tumor in her eye and said how serious it is, that if it is cancerous it could spread to the brain rapidly. So they wanted to permanently remove her eyeball that day and send it in for a biopsy for over $1,000. I went to my regular vet who was less alarmed about it (said most eye tumors are not cancerous) and said IF she needed that procedure done, he can do it for $400, but to first have it checked by a specialist. The specialist said it was a cyst, not a tumor, so her eye is saved and so is a lot of money. So thankful I did not listen to that vet. On top of that they double charged me for allergy medicine saying she needed half of each pill. But when I went to the drugs website, according to her weight, she only needed .5 of only one of those pills, not 2. This was a very bad first impression and I wont be going back.

Usually I do not have complaints HOWEVER we took my golden in tonight because hes been sick all day and they gave him a shot for nausea. Got home and he broke out in what I assume is hives on his face? So I call back to see if they have anything or any advice and to see if I can bring him back and they tell me NO because they were closing in 30 min.... I livw down the street basically so I would have been there in about 5. Then told me to call the 24 hour animal hospital if I wanted to.... 1. They gave him this shot so how can they deny him assistance 2. Why would you send me somewhere else when again THEY GAVE HIM THE SHOT 3. How can they, with a clear conscience, send a dog away who JUST got seen by them today and who has been for years Just disappointed and worried I guess.

This is the best Vet Clinic and Animal Hospital Ive experienced! I had to find a new vet for my dog Nino after his vet retired. My Nino is a 14 year old German Shepherd. After visiting two other vet offices in the southeast suburbs of Chicago, which were disappointing, the third one, "Lansing Animal Hospital" was the charm! I am so happy with the staff here. The front desk staff is very welcoming. I was greeted with smiles, personal attention, and professionalism. Michelle is phenomenal. She made Nino and I feel comfortable and assured my conscience that we were in the right place. I am blessed to have found an animal clinic that shows genuine concern for my Nino, and has the patience to deal with me.

Filthy conditions rude staff...uncaring unless you have deep pockets and most def over charge for basic care...Took my critically ill dog there and left knowing nothing but given a bottle of pills that she cant take because she (as I told them) cant keep anything down...they dont care at all about your pets...Dr Ritter is amazing but the rest are garbage....Sad after 15 years of going there I will never go again...I just hope my dog makes it through this....

Everyone there is so extra caring, they are very reasonable, and answers all your questions. They all show that they really care about your pet with faithful call backs to check the status after your visit. Bentley had to have a gastrotomy for swallowing a sock and he was in great care of Dr. Ritter and Medhurst. I really appreciate the excellent customer care!

Wonderful animal clinic, Dr. Booher and his staff has been taking great care of my 13 year old German Shepherd Harriett (who still wants to be a puppy) for 12 years now, allowing me to have even more respect for veterinarians. I wouldnt go anywhere else!
