My family is grateful for Dr. Negrin. Our cat owes his life to her professional skills and her big heart. In the month right before she saw him for the first time, the cat had been catheterized twice by another vet to relieve urinary blockage. Each time the cat was hospitalized for 5 days. After the second catheterization the vet told us that he did all he could. The blockage could happen again, in which case only one procedure can be done: an expensive surgery called urethrostoctomy or so. It would be performed by a specialist to divert the urine path from the penis to a man-made orifice in the lower abdomen. The cat s condition deteriorated shortly after. He suffered severe pain and stopped eating or drinking. His urges and lack of control of the rare urine drops worsened. He could not walk to the litter box. We agonized over his starving, sad eyes, faint moans and the strange noise coming from his swollen belly, let alone the continuous cleaning of the bathroom where he was confined. No point taking him to the vet who did all he could...prohibitive surgery cost.. ..... We were in total despair! Then our close friend Nancy, whose dogs were cared for by TLC for years, recommended we consult Dr. Negrin. We called her and within the hour she was examining the cat and immediately performing a third catheterization. After 2 days in her hospital and 3 days of recovery at home, the cat was back to normal. He is doing fine ever since. By comparison, Dr. Negrin s service was more efficient, her fee much lower and her cordial feeling toward the cat and us a lot more. She collected, measured and tested the cat s urine to monitor the crystals coming out during his stay in her hospital. As far as we know, none of that was done earlier. Dr. Negrin generously gave us enough time to enjoy an after-hours nice chat when we were picking up our cat. We discovered in her a friendly, trusting, modest, experienced, strong-willed, dedicated, faithful human being. Besides the TLC clinic, she devotes time working as an Animal control officer. Most vets steer away from such dangerous field encounters with stray and wild animals in a low paying job. Dr. Negrin is in our prayers from the moment we saw her. GOD bless her.

I dont appreciate this doctors lack of compassion. We had been going here for YEARS with two different dogs. We only found out recently that my grandmothers temporary carer was taking advantage of my grandmother all this time and found out the vet had banned my grandmother from coming back to this vet without any consideration towards my grandmothers situation and did not even tell her to find an alternative way of getting there. This was after my grandmothers carer made a stink in the office. NOT MY GRANDMOTHER. My grandmother has always been kind respect. Did whatever needed to be done. And paid. We appreciate all the things she had done for our pets at the time. But when my grandmother moved out of state last week, we had to visit a different vet to get the examination and vaccinations necessary for flight approval. My family is not judging what she does for the animals. But her attitude towards the people who had come through the door. After years of loyalty to this vet, we felt like it was a slap. Were very disappointed. And even if we were allowed to come back, we would choose not to considering the lack of consideration my grandmother was given.

I had an emergency this morning with my cat who is 15yrs old. We noticed an unusual abscess under his eye last night, but it was obviously too late to call the vet. I tried calling a local vet (South Orange Animal Hospital) as soon as they opened but they did not take walk-ins. Then they referred me to another vet nearby (Valley Vet) who could not see my pet until hours later. Both of these places were rude and did not seem empathetic at ALL! After googling some more, I found this vet closeby. (TLC Pet Doctor) I called and they were able to take me in 30 minutes. The receptionist was nice and the vet was very understanding and open to questions I had. I wasnt able to get a carrier for my cat (which is a policy of theirs) and they didnt give me a problem about it at all. This was my first time taking my cat to the vet and after dealing with rude people over the phone, it was such a relief to find TLC to be friendly and caring. I recommend this place to anyone in the area who wants a trustworthy and friendly veterinarian!

Hello everyone My name is Rakir Adams . Im an ex employed at TLC pet doctor . I only worked for her for two weeks an I have to say it was one of the worse experience I had . its not the animals its her . so anybody thats even thinking about working there think twice or just see for yourself . I promise youll say this guy was not kidding . She is the worse person of worse to work for . Now when you first talk to her everything seems cool until you start working there . She does not train you at all , you ask her a questioned to learn something and shell say I dont have time for stupid questions but then when a client comes in she expects you to know what to do . She yells at you 24/7 and on top of that she complains that she dont have time to train but when you walk pass her office she has time to be on Facebook or play Farm ville . She always would tell me how doctors are

This is one doctor practice. She mostly cares about herself and she sues everyone who says something she does not like. Then she takes forever to tell her clients who she sued and why. Next time it may be you she will sue. Ask her for estimate in writing because then she changes prices on you. She has no clue what she is doing and I would never bring my pet there again. She knows how to fake to make you believe than she knows her job. She had 4 cats sitting in cages in very small room and recently she got 5th one from the shelter. They are never properly taken care of. She says there are her cats and that she will take them home this weekend. She has been saying it for last 3 years or more. She has no love for her own animals. Someone like that will have no heart for yours either.

I have a cat and I am completely obsessed with her well being. I used Dr. Negrin for several years when I lived in Hillside and then moved to New York. I recently moved back to NJ and my cat had an allergic reaction on her face so we came back. Dr. Negrin still had my cats file in the back. Dr. Negrin has the three qualities I look for in a vet. 1. She is good with my cat. 2. She is knowledgeable. 3. She explains things very well so I always understand what is going on. Yes, she can bend your ear and the office could be cleaner. But the things I care about are the qualities she has. Also, she is the most reasonably priced vet I have ever been to. Of course, Ive been paying New York vet prices for the past few years, so I may have a distorted view of that.
