DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE PAYING OUT OF POCKET We did not previously have dental insurance but decided to take our daughter and pay out of pocket so she wouldnt miss out on care. Her first visit at age 5, they told us that she had three cavities and that they needed to be fixed so there wouldnt be nerve issues. We told them that she always brushes her teeth and doesnt have sweets very often but they said she could have weak enamel and that this happens. So we paid the $500 out of pocket to get these cavities fixed. At her next appointment a year later, they said she had 5 NEW cavities at age 6. This seemed absolutely ridiculous so we decided against getting these. A month later, we moved due to my new job and now we had dental insurance. Upon taking her to the dentist down here.. they told us she had perfect teeth. Once we heard this, we told her what had happened. She immediately had the other dentist come in and do an exam without telling him anything and he came to the same conclusion. So to sum it up we were scammed by Dr. Boatman and his staff at the "family" dentistry and taken advantage of since we payed out of pocket. I wouldnt trust whatever they say there if I were you, the whole staff was on board for these lies.

This is my first review of anything, considering my past experiences with dental offices this says a lot about the staff at Troy Family Dental. My wife and I are not a fans of going to the dentist, she has been hounding me for a year to go to Dr. Boatman because of the great experience she has every time. It started a couple years ago when she had sever tooth pain on Christmas day when they were closed. She had never been to him, yet he was able to do what needed to be done to quickly relieve her pain, and fixed the issue permanently within days. He has all the latest technology, taking care of most cavities with a laser, no need for shots or drills. The entire staff explains everything very well, they are always through. They work to get you the best price, discounts for those paying cash. They only do procedures when it is truly necessary, if something can wait for a better time for you or your insurance they will wait. Communication is key and they are one of the best I have dealt with in any line of business hands down!

Dr, Boatman and his staff took amazing care of my family for years and years. When my job took us away from the area, we were all sad to lose him as our dentist. Flash forward a few years to yesterday..I developed a tooth problem my dentist couldnt get to the bottom of, so I called Dr. Boatmans office and said if I drove 6+ hours to see him if they would work me in even though it had been a few years since Id been a regular patient. Of course, they were more than happy to do so. To make a long story short, Dr. Boatman, as usual, expertly got to the root of the problems (pun intended) and this morning I awoke pain free! God bless Troy Family Dental...a level of service so rare in this day and age!

Very friendly staff and Dr boatman in my opinion is the best dentist in the area. He is a straight up guy that fixed all my teeth years ago for the best price possible. Ive never trusted a dentist or been comfortable with one until meeting him. Im looking forward to seing him again soon and starting a new journey. Best people to deal with for all needs. They are about the patients NOT BEING IN PAIN while most offices only care about money. Im a blue collar hardworker and pay in cash so a office like this is a must for me. They will take care of you at troy family dental. This is the only office Ive ever had a good experience at. Glad to be back. 10 STARS FROM ME.

Frustrating experience with this office. I was referred by a friend. I made an initial appointment for a cleaning and check-up and took the day off work. I waited 45 minutes beyond my appointment time. Once I was finally called back, they took xrays and pictures, etc which took about an hour because they were working with other patients as well. When they finished, they said they didnt have time for my cleaning. However, I was welcome to make another appointment and the additional things they found could be completed for another several hundred dollars after my insurance was deducted. "When would you like to make that appointment?" No thank you!

I had an appointment scheduled for Monday morning, but when I got to Troy Dental Office I discovered there had been 2 emergencies that morning and all appointments were running behind. The staff was so gracious and apologetic for the delay, but I take situations like that as life happening. I have been in emergency situations before and others had to wait for me to be helped. Most probably everyone will need mercy in his/her lifetime, if they havent received it already at least once. I experienced no pain in the procedure, and the dental work turned out perfectly, so any wait is worth the time spent.

My mother had dental implants but they werent mini implants & didnt offer them. She had very much pain & the healing process was long & it cost her 2 times more than mine. So I am very happy to report that my experience with Dr Boatman was exceptional!!! The pain & healing process compared to my mothers was a breeze! Dr Boatman & his staff were very kind,patient, & professional. I had a bad experiences with a dentist & was very nervous about this procedure but now when I go back for my next appointment I will be very comfortable! So thankful I did some research on this procedure & found Dr Boatman.

My husband Ryan told me about Dr. Boatman and thank goodness that he did. We were pretty unhappy with our dentist because we felt like he was not communicating well with us and just assumed we had unlimited dollars to spend on dental work. Ryan had a filling that cracked after a week or two and our previous dentist just said, "Yep, lets just put a crown on it." No explanation, no nothing. Just give me another $1200. Dr. Boatman is very good at communicating with his patients and will work with you and the insurance companies. Thank you Dr. B.

I have been having issues with my denture. Then I seen Dr. Boatman on Great Day talking about mini implants. So I called his office. Within 2 weeks, I had mini implants and was able to use my existing denture. The staff in is office are always smiling and very pleasant. I was very impressed with how quickly I was able to get an appointment and get my issues resolved. You couldnt ask for better care! Dr. Boatman will always bring back that great smile in you!

Best dental office I have ever been to, hands down. Im in the process of getting mini implants for permanent dentures. Halfway done. My teet have been removed and I currently have my temporary dentures at this point. Dr Boatman is very kind and straightforward. Explains throughly my options and what he is doing. I feel like Im in safe hands. Office staff is tremendous, especially dental tech Em! You couldnt find a better place for your dental needs.
