my family has been going to this doctor for 24 years and my experience today was awful. I had no one ask me important questions before beginning exam. I gave preventive care exam is why I came in and get the flu shot. Well needles to say i didnt need a pap smear due to my condition and could not have blood test due to no told me to fast. Doctor did find that I was ill so she said she would call script in. She filled scripts out for three other things. I asked at front desk doctor suggestions in my plan. Reply was anyone i want. OK, a referral would of been nice. Oh, I was told to wait at lease an hour before going to pick up script from Walgreen. It was over an hour. NO script submitted and no flu shot from the doctor. So pharmacist called and doctor could not remember who I was until I talked to her on the phone to refresh her memory and she did put the antibiotic through to Walgreen and I got the flu shot there while I waited for my script to be filled. Oh my Gosh! I had such anxiety after this visit at the doctor office. Oh by the way dont go there for female care because they all get grossed out to do a pap smear. Find a different doctor that specializes in women care. I am so disappointed and I hope they dont bill my insurance for wasted product and for flu shot that I never was given. All I got was three scripts for other medical care and tests to be done and medication script that was not handled correctly. I will from now on ask for a written script or I am going to the next level of complaint to Jayson the office manager. I hope someone gets the staff, Nurses, and Doctors more organized.

I only give this place 1 star because I dont have the option to do less. My insurance sent me here (state insurance) & I was happy at 1st because no matter how many hospitals and doctors I went through Noone could figure out what my son was sick with (ended up being scarlet fever) they figured it out right away, but I feel as the years went on the staff cared less and less, they are very unorganized (Ive been to antioch, mchenry, round lake and richmond) they play the guessing game with their patients and instead of diagnosing they throw antibiotics at you and HOPE they work. And I know I cant put all blame on just these "doctors" but I came very close to losing my daughter 2 years ago and for months of bringing her to one of these clinics mainly antioch blood work had been done but always "oh its a little weird so were going to run it again" it got to the point where I would bring her in and get the "eye roll" reaction because of new symptoms ect. I was made to feel like I was just making up that my daughter was so sick or crazy. It took from Jan 4th to march 9th to finally get these doctors to give me an order to take her to childrens because 2 months of my daughters health deteriorating was finally enough to do something. Needless to say my daughter was hospitalized for 8 months as of March 10th. Not a good place to go if you care about your children

I have been attending this group for over ten years. With any doctors group you have to be your own advocate. However, I have experienced other doctors groups with my blue cross blue shield HMO and have found that waiting time for appointments, literally months included with rudeness and discourse for my insurance have been present. Thus being said, with the family medicine faults, I still appreciate a smile and genuine concern for my care at their office over the others.

Now I have switched to another practice I have to warn anyone coming here for treatment, was diagnosed Type 2 in Oct., Given a ton of pills and told to go home and figure it out. You never see the same Dr. twice and they all contradict each other. They want to get you in and get you out as quickly as possible. The assitants who work here are awesome and they help to make the experience bearable!

I dont understand the point of making an appointment at a desired time when you have to sit for at least 2 hours before you get to see a nurse, not even a doctor. I have been asked for my insurance card every time I walk in, the doctors dont seem to care or have any interest in a persons well being. Prisoners recieve faster and better care.

they were very quick ( i got there when they opened) i received all of the referrals i needed i had to go here because the office in Zion is incapable of giving a referral you have to keep asking and asking. The only problem I have is with Harmony insurance everything is very far away for specialists this is not the doctors office.

I have been going to Family Medicine Specialists for over 22 years. I started at the Wauconda office. After about 10 years it started to get too busy and the waiting time got to be too much. So I started going to the Richmond office. My appointments are always met on time or close to it

Totally unprofessional. No doc just PAs. Referrals take over a week...if they even bother to get it for you. And the absolute longest wait time ever!!! And worse of all is that not one employee/staff member cares. My insurance is covered 100% here but I pay to go to my old doc

I had an appointment at 1:15pm. It is now 2pm and no one has even entered me in the computer. I left they were mad and acted so. The doctor was obese. I dont want to see a doctor that doesnt take care of themselves.

The staff has no clue to whats going on and so disorganized. Pack a lunch and maybe supper because they take walk in and your appointment could be bumped. Ill never go back.
