I moved to this side of town and started taking my dog here for shots and to get her nails trimmed. First 4 visits or so were wonderful. The last time I took my dog to get her nails trimmed, will be the last time I ever go back! The girls that work up front were nothing but kind and helpful. I was sitting in the waiting room, waiting for the vet to see us. My dog is old and as docile as they come, she has never been aggressive and was on a very short leash sitting by my side. The vet was seeing another dog, apparently this was a rescue dog who had behavior issues (according to owner and I didnt know this until later) the vet opened the door and out runs this aggressive dog towards me! She went to attack my dog, going straight for her throat, the owners or vet being no where in site, I put my foot up to block the dog from my dog and I was bitten on my leg! Finally the owner comes out and gets his dog, apologizing. The vet came and sat down next to me and briefly checked my dogs neck to be sure she was ok. I truly feel that this was both the fault of the vet and the owner for this dog with behavior issues, escaping the room when the door was opened. The dog should have been on a leash! I was there for a $15 trim, which should have been comped for that visit at the very least! I was bitten, leaving a bruise on my leg and my dog having gotten bitten as well, the stress from all this could have simply been avoided by keeping the pet on the leash!! Very unhappy

We have seen several different vets since ours retired 4 years ago and this office is by far the best we have visited. Our dogs love the staff at this animal clinic. Dr Borst has such a friendly manner and was easily able to handle our frightened 130 lb. St Bernard during his exam (this was his first vet visit after adoption). Dr Wilson has a very fun and gentle nature and our tiny 6 lb. princess just loves him. Even our cranky 13 yr old Pekingese Chihuahua seemed comfortable at his annual exam this year. Both vets are knowledgeable, capable and personable. They take the time to explain procedures and medications before prescribing and have been excellent about answering all of our questions. The vet techs and receptionist are awesome, informed, kind, and accommodating. The office has returned every phone call in a timely manner. They were able to make great referrals for both behavior issues and grooming. Every time we have visited, the office and exam rooms have been clean and tidy. Also the clinic is very affordable and prices quoted on the phone have always been accurate at the visit. I really couldnt be happier with the service and care my pets and I have received here.

After recently moving into the area my Boxer became ill. I had no clue which local vet to visit as there are many to choose from. Upon researching several web sites and reading hundreds of reviews, I decided to check out the Shelby Street Animal Clinic because I saw ZERO negative reviews and Im glad that I did. I am VERY pleased with the veterinarian and staff at the Shelby Street Animal Clinic. They are extremely courteous, thorough and very reasonably priced. I intend to continue to use their services because my dog is not just a pet, hes a member of my family and I wont settle for second best for any member of my family. I highly recommend this animal clinic to anyone that loves their pet and doesnt want to spend a fortune for their veterinary care.

I usually dont write reviews (which is odd because I always read reviews). Anyway, I saw that this vet office had all 5/5 reviews and figured I would give them a try. I am so glad I did! I am so impressed by this vet office and Dr. Wilson! He was so caring toward my sick dog and didnt make a fuss toward her shots not being up to date or her teeth decaying (shes an old dog). He was straight to the point and didnt try to get me to pay for extra expenses I cannot afford. His prices are reasonable, and he even called to check on my dog a few days later...not the office staff but himself. Its nice to know hes so caring. The office staff was very nice as well. I will definitely be taking my dog only here from now on!

I took my Fiona in for spaying, was very scared of having someone cut into the little thing at first. They really took care of her, I can tell. The surgery went well, no complications at all. They even did a follow up on her without any extra charge. They even called the day after the surgery to make sure she was doing fine. I had researched a few other vets in the area before deciding on them. They definitely charge less than the others. And they had the best ratings too (now I know why!) I would highly recommend them to everyone.

Ive been going to Shelby St Animal clinic for about a year now, and today I felt compel enough to write this first review ever in my life. Truly amazing staff and my favorite vet Dr. Borst. My 3rd furbabe was injured with a neck wound and the staff + doctor helped her and....me (lol..I was going insane with worries and guilt).... I can only summon two words for the clinic.....THEY CARE....

SSAC is one of the best veterinarians office Ive been to with my kitty. Dr. Randy is knowledgeable and puts me at ease, and he seems to genuinely like my little dude. Prices are affordable, and their availability is insane; Im used to waiting weeks for appointments at other places, but I frequently get a next day appointment at SSAC.

Every experience I have had here has been fantastic. The staff is caring and compassionate and I find they treat my dogs like family. Both vets have a wonderful approach and understand that veterinary care is not only expensive but overwhelming at times. I wont see any other vet and highly recommend them.

Absolutely amazing place! Super friendly staff, Dr Bolst was very nice and friendly, I was a new patient doing a check up and booster shots and the entire trip took only 30 minutes! They are very affordable too, which is awesome. This will be my new permanent vet place!

Ive been taking cats and a dog here for years. Last time I compared prices with other VET clinics, this place was by far lowest. At the same time the people are great and take care of my animals with great care. You really should check this place out.

I took in 2 kittens from outside. The clinic is awesome! I all ready have 1 dog & cat. The total is 3 cats & 1 dog now!!! The feral cats had worms & they were all treated & cured. Very friendly atmosphere! Would recommend to others.

Dr. Wilson is the best, he is the sweetest vet I have ever met. My dog is not friendly and is a stereotypical aloof shepherd but he always has worked with her and made her comfortable. I wont go to anyone else for her general care.
