i took my rabbit to him and he killed it.i thought maybe it was just a accident. my cat just had babies and her belly felt hard but she was acting fine just taking her in for him to ultrasound her to make sure no babies were in there and he was very rough with her and squeezed her tummy then shoved his finger in her ass then put hand soap on his finger to get it to slide in easier then he put it deep in her vigina and of corse she didnt like it so she was fighting so he said he was going to sadate her he gave her a shot put her in the kennel then told me to wait in tge waiting room 10 min later he calls me back and my cat is completely out but was breathing very fast then he poked around on her tummy and her eyes and said take her home and come back in the morning by this time he gave her a couple of shots around her vigina area and shoved her back in the kennel i paid 70$ i got to the car opened the kennel and her eyes were glazed over (SHE WAS DEAD) HE NEVER DID A ULTRASOUND...i went back in and said she was dead and he said i didnt think that was going to happen so fast. he handed me a can of kitten formula and ask me if i wanted him to take the body. my kids were devastated not to mention her 6 one week old kittens .all i wanted was a ultrasound bc she was doing ok other wise. but she didnt get to come back home alive...i think he over sadated her and killed her and he new what he did and tried to rush me off.i will never trust him again.

I took my Great Dane here for a teeth cleaning. Our vet in Corydon isnt equipped to do the procedure and all the vets I called in Louisville wanted an arm and leg for the procedure. I paid an extremely reasonable price for my girl to get her teeth done and was in and out of there in less than 2 hours. I was also given the option to drop her off the night before and/or pick her up later in the day, which would probably be convenient for some people. They are very flexible, accommodating, knowledgeable, fast and made the whole process very quick and painless for the dog and I. Their prices are extremely reasonable as well. Definitely worth the drive.

McDonald did a great job with my cane corso puppy, Hank, today! He got his ears cropped and his new puppy shots. I did have a question about his ears though. He didnt tape them and I was wondering if they just stand on their own with age orrrr? I seen someones Doberman got its ears cropped and they werent taped and turned out fine from the looks of the picture. Has everyone had good luck with their puppies ear cropping from here?

As one of the only vets in town, McDonald is a no brainer. Where they really stand out is the quality of care and the feeling that whether your dog needs surgery or your cat has an ear infection, everyone involved seems to *want* your beloved animal to get better. They also handle farm animals, such as goats and horses. Rates are amazing for this area.

Dr. McDonald is hands down the best veterinarian I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. My Bella is in A plus shape. The staff at the office are exceptional, on their busiest days they are still friendly and helpful. Couldnt ask for better people.

Best Vet and staff there is! Wont pressure you into things you dont need. Lowest rates around. Took an emergency call from me at like 1 am when my dog became paralyzed. They are worth the drive!
