About two year ago I have found an abounded Siamese kitten that was very sick. Veterinarian that I went to for about 8 months didn’t help with respiratory infection or stomach problems that my cat had. My cat was unexpectedly sneezing leaving discharge on walls or even on my face if she was close. She would threw up at least once a month and have constantly diarrhea. At about 10 months of age she started scooting. For me as a clean and orderly person this was very difficult. I kept paying for stool samples and spending more money for the vet. I was desperate. My boyfriend recommended Dr Hoffler even though he was full hour away from where I live. His veterinarian services were less expensive that my previous veterinarian, but more important I finally got help for my cat. Dr Hoffler is so experienced and knowledgeable and will explain you in details what is going on with your pet. He discovered that my cat all along had parasites with the respiratory infection and somewhat excessive weight. In such a short time all health problems were gone and I am so grateful I was recommended to go to Parrot veterinarian services. In spite of gas price it’s worthy driving there!

The vet who saw our animals treated them kindly and seemed knowledgeable in his profession, which, ultimately is the most important thing. However, he treated my husband and I horribly while we were there. He was extremely condescending in the way he talked to us; he interrupted us while we were asking questions and didnt take time to explain the treatment we were to give the animals. He also used profane language in talking about the pets (referred to our cat as"bitchy", etc), which I found incredibly unprofessional in the workplace. I dont know if his attitude affects the rest of the office, but in my few experiences, there was only one assistant who was approachable and helpful. The receptionist is also unfriendly and unprofessional. Also, they are no cheaper than any other vet in the area. Ultimately, we were extremely dissatisfied with our experience. The only reason I didnt give this office a 1-star rating is because he was kind to our pets. However, we will not be going back.

I have not seen Dr. Hoeffler, but I took my Rottweiler into Parret yesterday (after having her at an emergency clinic over the weekend) to treat her for parvovirus. A woman doctor examined her, and after we declined to leave our dog there for inpatient treatment (which would cost roughly $2000) and instead take care of her at home with medications and special restrictions, she seemed very dismissive and made the comment "She looks just awful." My fiance told her that she was acting much better than she was over the weekend and pointed out the fact that shed made it through the first 3 days and was still improving, and the doctor said that that doesnt matter and she could just turn around and die. We left with basically no hope for her survival. Luckily we thought to call the ER vet back and get his opinion again, and he said he does not expect her to die. Once this is all over, I will be switching BOTH my dogs to another clinic.

We LOVE Dr Hoeffler. I have multiple pets and have been to multiple vets over the years and I have never been more pleased with the way my pets and I have been treated or with the prices than at Parrets Veterinary Clinic. I feel they are very fair with their pricing, Dr Hoeffler takes the time to talk to us and explain what we need to know. I also feel like he genuinely loves what he does and deep down cares about each and every animal that comes through his doors. We live in South Bend so its quite a drive for us to get to Parrets but I definitely think its worth the drive every time I leave there. I would HIGHLY suggest them to anyone looking for a new vet.

My husband and I have two dogs who we take in all the time. One of our dogs had an ear infection which was hurting her terribly and the doctor mad sure to explain all the medications and why she needed them. He also understood that we couldnt afford some of the more expensive treatments so he explained some at home stuff we could do at no charge. The wait times can be pretty long of you are a walk in but they are not bad at all if you make an apointment. The cost is amazingly affordable (thats why we drive from Mishawaka just to come here!). My mother in law recommended this vet to us and I gladly will do the same for all of my pet owner friends and family.

Years ago, Dr. Hoeffler saved the life of my sweet Bassett Hound, Molly after she was hit by a car. While she has since passed away and I have moved an hour away, I wont take my babies anywhere else. I have three dogs who are a handful and they LOVE going to the vet. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable with us humans. When it comes to the dogs, the staff go above and beyond to make them feel comfortable! On several occasions, I have seen Dr. Hoeffler get on the floor with the dogs and play with them--and they LOVE it!! Thank you to all of the wonderful staff who ensure that my sweet (and naughty) dogs are well cared for.

As a college student and owner of two cats, its often times difficult to afford vet care. Parret was originally my choice because it was the most economical when I called around for pricing on vaccinations and spaying. However, since I first took my kitten to Parret in March, I have developed love and respect for the vet staff. When my cat go into some trouble and needed surgery, I felt confident that she was not only being cared for but being loved. Everytime I take her in, the staff recognizes her and is excited to see her. They make it a point to assure that shes comfortable and happy during her visit.

Dr. Hoeffler is the most professional and kind veterinarian I have ever met. Because my parents have taken her pets there for many years and now I am bringing mine, I have had many wonderful experiences with him and his staff. I have dealt with many of the other Vets in the area, (one local vet that makes house calls was so terribly rude that I couldnt believe it) but no one ever seemed as loving and caring to the pets and their owners as Dr. Hoeffler. Im quite surprised to read a review that he is rude, because he is probably one of the most kind people, let alone vets, that I have ever met!

We have gone to Dr. Hoefler and Parrett Veterinary Clinic for many years and would never go anywhere else. The staff and doctors are all so very caring towards all the animals. I trust the doctors advice and know they have nothing but the best interest of my pets in mind. Our little Sadie had some serious back issues a few years ago and Dr. Hoefler was so kind and caring as well as the rest of the staff. Sadie is walking and doing well because of those wonderful people. We Love Dr. Hoefler and Parrett Veterinary Clinic.

I wouldnt recommend any other vets office! By far, they are the best around! I drive almost an hour to get there because I trust them and love how caring they are. I adopted a kitten from some unsavory people and had to have him put down. They failed to tell me he was exposed to feline parvo. The vets office made his last few hours comfortable and I appreciated how comforting they were to me. BEST VET AROUND!
