This is the worst place to take your kids I took my daughter here to get a routine dental cleaning done. a week later her left side of her mouth begin to swell so I called the dentist to have them check on her we came in here and they did more x-rays just to make sure that they didnt do anything wrong during the cleaning. the doctor came in and said that they was going to have to refer us to a dental specialist at Akron Childrens Hospital and that it was an emergency so we had to do it that day well we left there and went to the Dental Specialists. come to find out she had an adult molar that was coming in and thats why her jaw and face swelling I dont understand how they couldnt see that when they were doing the X-rays at Akron smiles. I also had to take my daughter and get caps put on that was a Monday we made it to the appointment and they begin to say that the nitrate couldnt be done that day because the doctor that was in couldnt do the Caps that day because they dont do nitrate so they had to bring us and two days later. You could have told me that before I drove almost 45 minutes I also asked for them to give me an excuse for my daughter so she could return to school that day and they told me they could not give me an excuse because they didnt do any work on her Im sorry but that was not my fault that they didnt tell me that the doctor that was in that day didnt do nitrate. Please save yourself the time and money and go somewhere else this place has went to hell ever since they changed it to Akron smiles

I have never been to small smiles where I didnt have a 2 hour after appointment time wait and an hour cleaning. I kept taking my son there because I had state aid and couldnt afford another dentist. He was a patient for 3 to 4 years. The breaking point was when I moved from Mogadore to Sandusky, specifically told them.that I would be driving 2 hours for this appointment and I still waited 2 hours after my appointment time before finally confronting rhe receptionist (who claimed the long wait rarely happened, which is a total lie) and walking out. Best part about it is the company sent me a questionnaire about why I "missed" the appointment. I didnt miss it! I waited 2 hours for them to catch up! Save yourself the hassle and try to find another dentist that takes Medicaid.

They performed a hack Job and a half on my son. They filled a couple of bad teeth instead of giving a root canal, or pulling...which they dont pull or give root canals. I had to go all the way to Cleveland Metro the Dental School for Case Western Reserve to get proper care. They were wonderful. It is worth the drive to head to Cleveland twice a year! When you have Buckeye or any State Aid youre treated like dirt by a lot of dentists. Ill continue to pray for them and hopefully the Lord will touch their hearts to provide better care.

Had a scheduled appointment for dental work for my children. We get there and are told we dont have a appointment. Then they cant find either of my kids records. Then they tell me that the dentist that was working today was not comfortable pulling a adult tooth. So needless to say we will never be returning. I suggest anyone thinking about going here find a different place to go.

The wait time is outrageous! ONE DENTIST for this many patients?! What a joke. Staff was impatient and rude with my 5 year old & the place looked filthy and run down. Visible dirt on floor/chairs, funny smell about the place. I understand this is where most of us on state HAVE to come but Id feel better taking my chances on her not coming to a dentist at ALL rather than here.

They capped my daughters teeth and after going to a different dentist I discovered that one of the teeth never had a cavity to begin with. Be sure to visit this dentist if you would like to experience insurance fraud at the expense of your children. I would give them zero stars if possible.

I never go here anymore , simply because they never answer there phones and takes months to return.. My daughter now has to have dental surgery because there fillings they did ruined her teeth to where they decayed...

Absolutely horrible. I always have to wait at least 45 mins to an hour in the waiting room before my children are called back. I know when I come here to plan to be here for hours. Absolutely despise coming here.

Slowest office in Akron. Took close to 2 hours for 1 kids to be seen. Not sure why they would want us to review them, since the wait time is horrible. Honestly, if you can avoid this office PLEASE DO.
