8/31/15 They do not use my daughter insurance provider but who she was referred to had horrible reviews and I went with my gut feeling and said forget it. I called another dentist office that a girlfriend of mine referred me to an they were able to refer me here. Today was our first visit with our 12 year old daughter. We felt like we were at home! We walked in and my nerves started to calm down.Its so nice and clean and kid friendly. We went into the second waiting area and there are video games for the kids to play. We saw Dr. Soares and his assistant was willing to listen to me and our previous dentist experience without being rushed while my daughter laid back very relaxed and watched a movie with her headphones. They were really concerned about her previous treatment and wanted to make sure that did not happen again. We have a second appointment already scheduled and my daughter is feeling more relaxed with this new dentist office. I would recommend this dentist office to anyone!

As parents, choosing medical care professionals for our children is one of the most important decisions we make for them. After over 4 years with a different dentist, never missing a single appointment, (from the age of 2 years old), as parents we felt that our 7 year old was not getting the proper care she deserved. Facing two teeth extractions from failed fillings, both of which were infected, it was time seek a different care provider. The doctors at Setzer Cochran Soares are knowledgable, and will explain the problem/procedure in detail if you wish to discuss the matter. We are very excited and truly feel that moving our daughter to this practice is providing much better care for her. I want to personally thank the doctors here for getting my daughter in on a short notice and caring for her, she was comfortable, and says "I like the new Dentists". This is a huge deal, as she was very scared due to seeing a different Dentist since 2 years old. VERY HAPPY PARENT ! Thank you again.

Dr Setzer is an amazing dentist with children. I am 22 years old now but I was extremely traumatized from an experience with another dentist and I remember Dr. Setzer being so very patient with me. He would never work on me until I was ready for him to, anytime I complained about pain he addressed it immediately and tried to make me as comfortable as possible. There are places for parents to sit right next to their children while they are being worked on. I was not the easiest child to deal with given what had happened to me at another dentist but Dr. Setzer never lost his patience with me. He is truly an amazing doctor and I would recommend him to anyone!!

We just moved to town last month and I was worrided about finding a dentist for my kids. I heard lots of great things about Setzer and Cochran. I gave them a call and got an appointment 2 days later. My son loved it. Everyone was so nice and patient. Even though he had several cavities they did not make me or my son feel like we were doing a bad job, they were very nice and respectful. I was also very pleased with the check out process. They did not charge me anything until after they filed with our insurance, they also gave me an estimate of cost for his next two visits. Great service from the entire staff!

Our experiences at this practice have been phenomenal. The office staff are warm, friendly, and extremely organized and efficient. My children feel safe, and well taken care of by all of the dental hygienists. Dr. Cochran is very sweet to my kids, he is knowledgeable, and knows how to communicate with children in a positive way to make them feel like safe and even loved. I feel like I can trust him with my children. My kids are actually excited to go to the dentist - and this is saying a lot since they have had a couple of procedures done there, not just the routine cleanings.

Whether you just moved to the Jacksonville area or are looking for a new pediatric dentist, do not waste your time looking any further. These guys are phenomenal. My family relocated from Jacksonville to Atlanta about a year ago and have had an extremely difficult time finding comparable dental care. This practice is highly professional, friendly, efficient, and detailed-oriented. They know what theyre doing and care about each individual patient. Top notch dentists and staff!

I have known Dr. Setzer, his associates and his staff for many years. His office is well-known and respected in the area for being professional, compassionate and gentle. The office is kid-friendly and fun. Everyone is always cheerful, friendly and provide excellent dentistry and customer service. When our son Charlie busted his mouth, 3 friends all told us to go to Setzer and Cochran. The waiting room was clean and had kids programs on television. The staff was friendly and the wait time was within 10 minutes of my appointment. They were very knowledgeable and really cared about the work that they were doing.

The staff and process run very smoothly at this dentistry. We had a wonderful experience right from check-in to check-out. The overall setup is great and the doctors and assistants very efficient. To top it up the follow up mail that they sent out was the personalized touch you look for with any service provider.

you will not find a better pediatric dentist to work with...my three year old had a cavity filled (with gas / Novocaine) and didnt even cry...shes a total drama queen so we were all surprised...they also call you if there is another cancellation to get you in sooner...amazing staff all the way around!
