My husband has been raving about this dentist for a while ever since he decided to switch his dentist a few years back. Now I know why. I was on a week-long overseas trip and only a day in I noticed I have a cracked filling that was done a few years back by someone else. It was completely in shambles and pain had started to increase by the hour. I could feel that even part of the tooth had chipped. I had no choice but to ride it out then, but knew that I would have to see a dentist the same day I arrive back in Jacksonville for a possible root canal. Tried as I might, I couldnt get in with my dentist. My husband called Dr. Patel and spoke with him personally about it while I was still in UK. Dr. Patel saw me the first thing in the morning the very next day after I arrived back. Not only he performed the root canal right away as needed, but also showed me the flaws in my teeth via digital X-ray and full screen color pictures of individual teeth. I had never seen anything like the technology here at my dentist before. He also said he would make sure the crown for the tooth gets done before Christmas and voila... he installed it yesterday - the day before they go on the Christmas break. Kudos from one healthcare provider to another; thats called understanding situational priorities. Whats more? How about being able to watch Netflix shows on iPad mounted right above your table while the work is being done on your teeth? How about your 2-years-old being able to watch anything he wants on Netflix and/or Xfinity On Demand in lobby TV outside? How about the front office staff personally taking your 9-years-old daughter in their break room and treating her to their own food and drink because she just happened to mention that she was hungry? I have never seen or experienced the personalized care and family environment like the one Dr. Patels staff creates in any medical practice before.

Update (August 2017): Went back for a cleaning. Was told that they no longer accepted my dental insurance. However, since I have been a patient for a while, they waived the cleaning fee and did not charge me anything. When I arrived, Dr. Patel greeted me in the office area and asked what I wanted to watch on Netflix while I waited. After only a couple of minutes, I was called back for the cleaning. Some nice, soft, soothing meditative music was playing (so much better than the usual soft rock most offices play). After about 20 minutes, cleaning was done and I was on my way. Thanks Dr. Patel and staff!! Update (December 2016): had two cavities filled. Thanks to Dr. Patel who hooked up his iPad to the light station so I was able to watch some Netflix while my teeth were getting drilled. This was so nice. As always, Dr. Patel and his staff were great! Update (September 2016): the place was recently purchased by Dr. Jignesh Patel and the name of the dentist office has changed to Dental Center of Jacksonville. But, the place is still awesome and Dr. Patel and the new crew are fabulous! Will continue to stay here for my dental needs. I went to the Avenues Dental Center last week to have a tooth extracted. This was my first visit and the office staff was friendly and efficient. Dr. Tatyana Stephancuk has a wonderful bedside manner and explained the procedure well and the follow-up treatment. Olga was the hygienist who assisted and did a fine job. Will go back here again.

A couple of years ago, my previous dentist had botched a root canal procedure that was just left abandoned with a hole in tooth with just temporary filling over the weekend because of the lack of equipment and staff. It left me writhing in pain over the weekend and I decided to seek out Dr. Patel after the weekend instead of going back to my dentist. Man, am I glad I did. This was before he joined the Dental Center of Jacksonville, but even then, he managed to fix my problem in 40 minutes flat - the same one that seemed like a special case to my previous dentist. So, needless to say, after he joined Dental Center of Jacksonville, I followed him here. Again, glad I did. Not only the same care and treatment as before, but also a few familiar faces of the same courteous and caring staff as well. Now everyone in my immediate and extended family in Jacksonville area are his patients. Rightfully and deservedly so.

I am so grateful to have found such a warm, peaceful, and caring dental center. Not only are they kind and patient, but are great at what they all do. Top of the line equipment, comfortable environment, informative, and VERY AFFORDABLE!!! I have put off getting the proper care for my teeth due to the high costs of most dentists... here they not only educate you on the best care suited for your needs, but also have a great and affordable plan. They take their time and actually make an effort to get to know you. Dental Center of Jacksonville ~ I will tell everyone I can about my experience. Excellent in every way: Dr. J. Patel and his entire staff (dental technician, receptionist, hygienist) were very professional, personable and friendly. I never felt rushed and was taken in at the time of my appointment (which is unusual these days). The staff took time to explain the treatment plan in great detail and answered all questions to my satisfaction which is not easy since Im a very detail-oriented electrical engineer. Overall, Ill have to say that out of all the dentists Ive seen over the years, this was definitely the best experience by far. Thanks!

Best dental experience in 25+ years! Dr. Patel is fantastic, thorough, and explains every step. He makes sure you feel comfortable and relaxed. The staff are extremely nice and accommodating. My wife recommended Dr. Patel and Im really glad she did. I had a broken molar that he fixed PERFECTLY in less than an hour. She needs a bone graft and other intensive work, and she feels 100% confident in the quality of care she will be receiving. I have nothing but positive things to say about Dental Center of Jacksonville and HIGHLY recommend them!

Met Dr Patel at the beach. Was not sure I would continue to travel to his new office once my initial treatment was complete however 8 months and 5 appointments later and I am still a patient! The staff is understanding, compassionate, friendly, and always in touch regarding appointments and checking on how I feel after procedures. Dr Patel is AWESOME always discussing treatment and costs with me prior to any treatment. Glad to recommend these guys to anyone looking for a GREAT group of professionals.

I am so terrified of the Dentist. However after today I am actually looking forward to going back. I had a root canal done and the entire experience was amazing. They had an ipad set up so I got to watch a movie the entire time. They were extremely nice, I never felt a thing. The whole procedure went by so fast. I can not say enough good things about my experience. I would recommend them to anyone. Great office, friendly staff, and overall a positive vibe from when you check in.
