Hate to say this, but I am quite unsatisfied with the care given. I really do try to be professional, but not this time. My dog, which I sorta share custody of with my ex, got the tip of his tail chopped off in his front door today. My ex took him to this Vet because they were the closest to where he lives. They told him that they were going to have to take a little bit more off the end of the tail to even things out so there wouldnt be further damage, but that it wouldnt be much at all. My ex leaves and comes back later to find out there nearly every bit of his tail has been removed! Thats so much more then a little bit gone. My dog would have had to have had one hell of an injury for them to have to take that much of the tail! Then to make it all worse, one of the women that work there, I guess she must have been the secretary, made a joke to my ex as he was leaving that "now his tail looks like a big wiener hahaha", my ex then replied "I dont find that funny at all." she continued to laugh. They didnt even call him to tell him that more would be cut off. After my ex said that it wasnt funny, she gave him a dirty look. She didnt say thank you or come back. All she said was "get your camera out, cause hes going to be funny looking bumping into things and falling over with that cone around his neck." I know this may be a shocking story, because this place seems to get decent reviews, but I would never make something like this up, or exaggerate a story. I had a similar incident happen with my dads dog getting his tail caught. It took more of his tail then my dogs this time! and the vet in my hometown (which I have consulted about this) didnt have to take anything off. He cauterized the tip and left it as it was. Taking that much of the tail off, without consent, probably wasnt needed, but they made close to $300, so I guess it was alright by them. But what breaks my heart even more, is the fact that the receptionist had to be so nasty about it. Making dirty and inappropriate jokes at such a time is highly unprofessional!! Hey, Im a girl who calls it like I see it to, but I wouldnt want that in my business. It makes the doctor look like crap, because she is supposed to be the face of that clinic whenever you walk through the door. When you take your pets, that you LOVE, to be worked on, or cared for, or even put to rest by them, you dont want an opinionated receptionist saying "gee, look how limp your pet is. It could do the worm if it wasnt dead!" I know thats stretching it a bit far, but think how you would feel if it were your pet...or even a loved one! This clinic will not be getting anymore of my business and I am simply telling my experience to all of you. Do your research before jumping to the nearest vets office. Maybe the people who received bad service from them are too put off to even write a review, but I am so hurt and so angry that I have to speak out to anyone who will read this. He is laying in the floor in so much pain he cant even eat. He keeps wining. Which I know is normal for an animal to get all that much cut off, but this whole things breaks my heart. I just feel like he wasnt treated like anything other than a $300 dollar advance in their money. Im sorry if Ive offended anyone, but what happened today hurt and offended me deeply. Just put yourself in my shoes.....

Plantation Vet Clinic is an excellent place to bring your pets. Not only are they caring, knowledgeable, and extremely savvy--- but they are, by far, the most affordable animal clinic I have ever been to. Dr. Keller had such an easy and gentle hand with my dogs. He took extra time to calm my nerves and to educate me about my dogs allergies. My dogs are doing so much better! Farrah, the office manager, is warm, friendly and sharp as a whip and fast on her feet. We ran into a jam last spring-- I had to go on an extended trip working out of town and my dogs required shots ASAP. Farrah was able to network with a nearby Vet clinic in order to hunt down the last two shots. Without her help my dogs would have not gotten their shots and we would not have been able to travel. Great place, great people!

The staff at this clinic is helpful and professional. We have moved a lot over the years and my dogs are not big fans of Vets. They are calmest here. And the care is straight forward, honest and caring.I recently had my companion dog Bucky pass from cancer. The caring they showed for his well being and dealing with my feelings and hyper awareness of him was amazing and I am most great full . I would recommend this clinic and Dr. Keller and staff to anyone.

Have been taking our pets to Dr. Mike since 1998 and never known a Vet that shows as much compassion to your pet and you. We have had several dogs and cats during this time and whether it was for a check up or having to put one down due to illness, you couldnt get any better than Dr. Mike and staff. I know it seems that I am repeating myself, but what I say is true.

Love this vet. Dr. Keller has helped my animals immensely and my dog Luz particularly with the red light laser therapy for his knee and back. Hes finally able to hike with me again! A happy dog!
