After going here twice, I have to agree with the other posts. While Dr. Naseh seems very knowledgable, hes not personable and his staff is extremely unhelpful. The last time I went in, I was seen for a contact exam. Dr. Naseh told me he was going to "up my prescription" but everything else was the same. After being told incorrectly that my insurance would not cover the cost of the contact exam, which my benefits state explicitly that this is covered, they would not order my trial pair until i paid out of pocket because they would not even put in the exam to be covered by insurance. I was told this was new because I have always had the exam cost covered. After I went home, I called my insurance company to ask if the coverage had changed and they told me it wasnt, but I had already paid and the staff refused to put it through to the insurance. Then, when I received my trial pair, it was ordered incorrectly. The toric measurement is completely different than what I had before and the contact makes me dizzy. I have called on 4 separate occasions to speak to the "person who handles contacts" since nobody else can schedule a contact check and have left my number 4 times and have not heard from this person. I will not be returning since the staff and doctor do not care enough about patients or their business.

So where do I begin? I called and made an appointment at 1:30pm to take a Farnsworth D15 color vision test. I asked the woman on the phone if they offered the test and she said "yes". I arrived at 1:15 and filled out paper work where I specifically said I was here for a Farnsworth D15 color vision test. I wasnt seen till 2pm, and when I was seen I was sat down and took some pointless eye exams which had no relevance to the color test I needed to complete. I was told to wait in a room at 2:30pm and was told a doctor would see me "shortly". Doctor came in at 3:00pm and once she walked in she read through my information and saw that I wrote down I needed a D15 color vision test. She then put me through some other useless tests and then told me that their office dont have the D15 test. This office isnt professional and are run by complete idiots. Only good thing that came out of this place was getting a refund and a life lesson to never return back here again.

They have been so helpful, saw me for an opthamology appointment when other places had 3 week wait times. When I got there I was seen promptly, Dr. Modak completed my exam and as a courtesy did her best to do so without having to dilate my eyes (which ended up not being a problem, but could have been since I needed to drive). After my diagnosis, I was then given a trial amount of contacts to try before ordering. A few days in, I realized I didnt care for those kind-- so they let me come back and pick up a supply of multiple other kinds to try! The gentleman who works in the eyeglass/contacts desk is great, so patient, explanatory, helpful! I just ordered my contacts after deciding, and am very happy I decided to see this practice (even though its an hour from my house-- worth the drive).

Unfortunately have to agree with many of the previous reviewers - the staff and organization at MD Eye Institute is probably the worst Ive ever encountered in a professional medical setting. The last time I was there over a year ago - it took 90 MINUTES to get seen after my appointment time, and then after calling me to pickup my contact lens, I arrived only to find they "lost" it. Today, my wife has gone over an hour past her appointment time and STILL WAITING to be seen. This place has no organization whatsoever, and it seems to have gone on for quite some time. Its a shame because the doctor is great, and extremely knowledgeable, but his practice is ruined by the staff and organization. This will be our last visit.

My experiences have been positive. I dont understand the negative comments about Dr. Nasehs staff or about Dr. Naseh. The people on the staff have always been friendly to me, perhaps not "bubbly", but cordial and welcoming. Dr. Naseh is an excellent opthamologist. His attitude is professional but kind and caring. I go there to have my eyes examined and when I leave, I know that Ive had very good care. I never worry that something has been overlooked. What could be more important than that? I have no complaints about any aspect of the practice.

Do not use this business. They are crooks. They will tell you that your insurance company will cover certain purchases. Then nine months later they will send you a bill. Their billing department is extremely rude and cursed at me on the phone. They sent me a bill that said my charges were current. When I questioned their business practices, they turned it over to collections even though the bill was current. I have reported them to the Attorney Generals office. Their employees who are doing the glasses fitting are incompetent.

Im going to agree with the other posts regarding how UNFRIENDLY and UNHELPFUL the staff is especially the front desk. Dr. Naseh was not personable and told me that it basically "wasnt his problem" if I was unable to make another appointment due to my work schedule and that "there were other doctors in other places that could see me" if I couldnt get there. He never told me what my diagnosis was and was literally in and out within 3 minutes. I suggest looking for another doctor who actually cares.

Dr. Naseh and the staff at the Maryland Eye Institute treated me with a high level of care and courtesy. In particular, the doctor took his time in explaining the pros and cons of the laser procedure I ultimately opted to pursue. In follow-up visits, he has shown consistent regard for making sure that my eye-health progressed. I am pleased that my vision has vastly improved and I look forward to continuing my relationship with M-E-I.

I have been a patient of Dr.Naseh for over 9 years. Going for an annual check up, follow ups & treatments are quite an experience. You start at one station and by the time you actually see the Doctor, he has all the details of what is going on in your eyes. They are very thorough. My mother, my father & my sister are also his patients. I would highly recommend the Maryland Eye Institute to my friends.

I dont know what happened with the other patients, but Ive always had a great experience with Dr. Naseh. His staff were not at their peak a few years ago, but have improved hugely since then and have been very helpful the last few years, going far out of their way to find me contacts that are comfortable and will address my needs. Great doc with a very nice practice.

Dr. Naseh does a good job and thats the ONLY reason I return, The staff has no customer service skills and are full of themselves. They should be trained to treat patients with kindness and respect. I never look forward to going to this place and will start looking for an alternative, you can take just so much from those arrogant ladies who work there.
