*More complaining than not about this facility. I know from my hospital work experience that it is easier for families to complain than to appreciate what is there and send thanks. *Yes, sometimes there are new employees who havent learned what they been taught, but that is not the fault of the facility. Some employees have bad attitudes, again, not the fault of the facility. *I have had to deal with the facility for over 8 months now and find it the perfect place for my Mom. *Overall, this is a great place and our family has been welcomed. I look forward to the month I will be able to get my Pop in there as well. The Unit Manager, Billing Office, Admissions Office, Garden lady, PT Dept. and any other Dept I have left out, I thank them ALL. I also thank ALL the employees who have done MANY MANY MANY little & BIG things that meant/means soooo much to my mom (me as well). *I have 3 suggestions and they are biggies, this being a for-profit facility with budget constraints and know these are not very feasible: ^Upgrade the current garden with more covered tables and more wheelchair/scooter access pathways. ^Another garden like the current one, across the other side were there is a LOT of open space. ^Parking-somethings gotta give....more easily accessibility parking for disabled folk to visit disabled folk. I know space is limited, however, many employees park near the doors up at front of each entrance and there are a lot of us who have a hard time walking. Definitely a conundrum! *Tell ya what, when I win a FL or GA lottery, Ill pay for new gardens and upkeep!! Thanks all!

I worked at this facility for many years. My reviews were always exceptional, never tardy and never missed work without a just cause. VHHR had a dimentia resident that was very combative with documentation to cooberate. Instead this lady says I slapped her face. After thorough investigation through Lakeland Police Department and DCF.. case unfounded. The administration has been arrested, on numerous occasion still are having open affairs and unjustifiably disgusting and unprofessional. If those beneath them arent party animals they find a way to make it miserable for an employee thats trying to do right. The same people that preach we all answer lights are the same ones that walk by and ignore. I wouldnt want this facility to care for my dead dog.

Horrible place although there are a few outstanding people. First night my mom came in the doctor called and wanted to turn off her defibrillator and pacemaker. That would have led to her death in minutes. That was 6 months ago. Three months ago I had to argue with the doctor to get her to the hospital. Doctor said she was fine. The ER said she was in congestive heart failure, had blocked bowels and a urinary tract infection. They have left socks on that were too small for such a long time that they cut into her legs. Looks like she is branded. The rehab wing is very different from the long term care halls. My mom is in long term.

Reckless endangerment of seniors. My Father was went in for rehab following a stroke and possible extended care, because he had been deemed incapacitated. In 4 days they said he was clear as a a bell and that they were not going to wait on possibly being reimbursed for his bill by the government. Ignored my POA. And let him sign himself out.

Id give this place zero stars of possible. Nurses. Registered nurses come in and wear no gloves with my grandfather having cdiff and she doesnt wash her hands and went on to take care of another patient. Then some of the staff have a nasty way of speaking. Place is terrible.
