I went yesterday with my wife to meet my therapist, Mrs. Kerryanne Shea, (LMFT) since I have a history of mental illness and needed follow up for my condition! I was 2 years in Florida trying to find a place to go for help for my condition! I was called and meet and talked with this excellent therapist who took the time to listen to my life story and my issues! She is very humane, friendly, took more than 1 hour to channel the services I needed for my condition! She is a consummate and excellent health care professional and scheduled weekly appointments for me to receive the much needed theraphy that I required for my condition. She decided to talk with the psychiatrist before my already scheduled appointment in January 2016 for it to be changed as soon as possible! I thank God and the Virgin Mary for giving us the pleasure of meeting such a excellent therapist and human being after almost 3 years in Florida searching for the right place for my condition! After she finished with me she even called my wife in and was talking to her about what I had and what she was going to do to channel the services that I needed! In my opinion this is the best lifestream Behavioral Mental Heath Center clinic in Florida and the World! God bless the professionals and staff that work here! Today on 11/13/15, I met for the first time our psychiatrist, Dr. Carol Couts, She is a excellent Physician and human beign! She took the time to listen to my life story and recommended the proper theraphy! She is up to date on all mental diseases and has excellent Customer Services, especially to mental health patients! I give thanks to God and the Virgin Mary for giving me the pleasure of meeting such a excellent Mental health physician and excellent staff at Lifestream at Clermont. I am a patient of Lifestream, Clermont for the last two or three years! I was treated for my neurological and psychiatric conditions by 2 excellent phychiatrist physicians, Dr. Carol Couts who retired last year and with Dr. Valdes who replaced Dr Couts. Today 06/22/17, I came for F/U appt with Dr. Valdes and for unknown reasons she now evaluates psychiatric pediatric patients only and they put for my evaluation with a Nurse Practitioner, Mrs. Edeline who when I entered the office in a rude manner and with attitude told me that she was going to diminish or discontinued my anxiety medication and that she was not going to treat me for my neurological condition treated before by phychiatrists in Lifestream Clermont, because she said that when my neurological condition deteriorated I will need a neurologist! I told her that in my treatment for my Bipolar disorder for the last 30 years the anxiety medication was prescribed to me by my Dr. In Puerto Rico to prevent aggressive reactions to my family! After I came to Florida, Dr. Couts and Dr. Valdes treated me with medications for both my neurological and psychiatric disorders for the last 2 or 3 years and I was stable and they always refilled my medications without problems! In summary she told me that she was going to refill my medication for 6 months and to get a evaluation by a neurologist and that on the next visit she was going to diminish or discontinued my anxiety medication although I told her that with that medication I was not aggressive with my family! In summary although I got a F/U appt with this Nurse Practitioner in 6 months, I am going to cancel all appointments with Lifestream Clermont and will find a new phychiatrist and a neurologist! I will never step foot in this place again and I will not recommend them to anyone!

I am calling the news and my lawyer tomorrow . Our Daughter has been in this facility for over 48 hours and no one has contacted us . We have thank Goodness spoke to her charge nurse. the state of Florida has let us down and we will be contacting every news agency and as I said our lawyer. Our daughter has not had any issues and she has been stabilized. This Dr. Walker is on a power trip he can not handle his case load and he is holding children against their will. This is unacceptable . The staff is completely frustrated. Our daughter is afraid to ask for anything petrified she will be kept longer. We will never again trust the system that is supposed to help stabilize teens and children . We will hire a private hospital or care facility if we ever have this issue again . Tomorrow will be 72 hours and we as her parents have yet to have a scheduled meeting or conversation with the Dr. or any of his direct staff. No matter what do not send your child to this facility. She has not even been given a pillow and was told she has to be there for 6 days before that will be happen but they allow her sheets. Despicable . Completely frustrated parents who feel horrible trusting the system .

I would put "0" stars if it would let me. Aside from the stigmatization individuals with mental health issues face every single day it makes it harder when you desperately need care and have to wait months to be seen. However the over saturation of patients needed to be seen isnt the issue. Its the fact that like me, yesterday, waited four months to be seen by the Psychiatrist in the office to anticipate finally being able to manage my illness after enduring so much suffering and pain then being called by one of the office assistants an hour before my appointment that the Doctor "was feeling bad" (Not even sick) and decided to ditch my appointment or even ditched several since I am not sure if there were more patients that day for her (all people with mental illnesses who waited months to finally be able to find some kind of relief) and then being told that the next available time I would be seen in in January. I cannot put into words how absolutely horrible that is to do to someone, a patient needing help. It is already difficult enough getting mental assistance and the consequences of not getting any can be catastrophic depending on the person. I seriously cannot believe this.

Ava, the woman who answers the phone is extremely rude and unhelpful. How are you going to be in a position where you are required to have empathy and the understanding of emergency situations? Ive been calling for two weeks to reschedule an appointment due to the insurance being unable to cover it. Ive been calling for TWO weeks to see if an appointment has been canceled. He is out of medicine and having mental episodes that could have been prevented if treated as an emergency situation. Luckily I found Genoa which helped me obtain what I needed. If Ava was more knowledgeable about what to do in emergency situations, all of this could have been prevented and maybe she would have actually done something helpful with her position. Carlos on the other hand, tried to help me from lifestreams and he is appreciated.
