Institutional culture of apathy! The individuals working here all seem like wonderful people and the Dr. and assistant was helpful but the overall experience was NOT GOOD. Incredibly unorganized back office. I made 3 calls today to them and 3 to the pharmacy to get them to release a prescription for me. All to find out that what they really needed to do was contact my insurance company to get an authorization. I came in and got this prescription 9 days ago and just now I am the one chasing them down and finding this out. Originally my prescription ran out and when I went to fill it I realized they had denied the refill and obviously didnt contact me to let me know this and or schedule an appointment so they would renew it. So I called them to ask for a temporary one time refill and to schedule an appointment so they could renew it for another year. They would not refill it and I had to wait a month to come in for an appointment. In the meantime I had a horrible acne flair.

I went and saw Doctor Racette for my painful and embarrassing acne. While I was there he went over several options with me. One of the options was accutane, I had heard a lot of bad things about accutane is the past and was apprehensive about taking it. Dr. Racette went over every question I had and put all my fears at ease. He made sure I understood and wasnt nervous about it anymore. I also ended up asking him about a mole on my back (which wasnt part of my visit) he looked at it and offered to test it if it continued to make me nervous. Im happy to say that my acne is clear, my confidence in higher and Im happy. I am so greatful to Dr. Racette! I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a good caring dermatologist!

I came in expecting a holistic approach, however, no questions were asked about products Ive used on my hair/face to treat my conditions. No questions were asked about my diet, supplements, nor activity. It felt like a cookie-cutter experience as if I was just an everyday patient being prescribed the same blanket treatment as anyone else would be. Although I was put on possibly the best course for resolution of my conditions, I felt rushed and unheard. Kudos for getting straight to a solution, demerits for not explaining why this was the solution/considering my health entirely.

I called on Thursday and asked for an appt. I was told the closest one available was in about a 3 wks... Since we only have one vehicle it was impossible for me to make in the morning.(my husband takes our car to work) I explained I get extremely bad rosacea flare ups and one was coming up (they are very painful!) and asked if I could go to another office sooner...but I really liked this one. They worked with me and she squeezed me in that Monday! Thank goodness because Thanksgiving is coming up. They are great! Recommend 100%

Im posting this solely based upon my experience with the receptionist. I called to make an initial appointment and after some hesitation, she asked me if I could hold for 2 mins. I said probably not bc I had both my kids in the room and I asked if she could just call back when it was convenient. Get this, she said, "I dont even have a pen right now. So no. Would you mind calling back?" Based upon her enthusiasm to have me as a patient, I wont be calling back.

The staff were very friendly, from the receptionist, to the nurse, to the NP (Dr Wiggins. On time, not rushed, answered all my questions, didnt mind my 4 yr old asking a million questions during my exam. Gave me a good idea of "whats next" if my care plan isnt working out. I will be recommending them to people who need a Derm Doc.

Omni dermatology is hands down the best dermatology in Phoenix. The staff is courteous and responsive. Dr. Racette has a great attitude and explains everything in detail. Trust me, leave your current derm and try Omni out! I have been a patient for five years.
