Awful awful awful. I went in for an acne and nail screening. The dermatologist took it upon herself to address other areas that I did not request. She burned 5 moles through out my body!!! No attention to the acne or nails. I end up receiving a bill for over $800 for "Lab Testing!" This is without any type of treatment for which I initially came in for. The dermatologist recommended I come in a month later in which I did, her assistant stated the dermatologist is running late and will be here soon. I end up waiting over 40 MINUTES to be seen (unprofessional) she finally arrives and looks at the moles and says we got your test results and it is not cancerous. Great! But what about the acne and nails? She began to focus more on the moles stating they need to perform surgery on two of the moles that did not burn off conpletely. Right! These procedures make Affiliated Dermatology more money than basic acne tteatment. So she talks to me for 3 minutes about the moles and leaves, no apology for her arriving late, no explanation, nothing, does not even address the acne or nails. A 3 minute visit cost me a $45 co pay and charged my insurance an additional $64 for a 3 MINUTE VISIT. Not to mention over $800 dollars on testing I NEVER REQUESTED. Do your research before you visit any dermatologist.

PA recommended a procedure thatd leave an open wound for 3 weeks. It was about $1500. Fair enough. When I went back, the doctor asked me why I chose such a procedure. "Um, because thats what the PA told me." "I recommend a simple excision for something like this." And thats what I got - for $1000 less. That sort of disconnect and nearly overcharging me $1000 makes me pretty skeptical and have no faith in the medical advice Im getting. Evidently I still owed $57 from it, because I got a bill 3.5 months later. If I owe the money, I owe the money but 3.5 months is unacceptable. Paid it with an HSA check which is fully funded. For whatever reason it was returned with"Return to maker". Paid over the phone - including the $30 returned check fee because its policy - so I could wash my hands of this place. "Because its policy" is always the answer for when theres no actual good answer and served as the final straw that broke the camels back. Take the $30, buy yourself something nice.

I am not only a patient but a RN and I carefully observe hand washing and technique amongst caregivers and have very high expectations when it comes to healthcare. I was pleasantly surprised to find good technique and hand washing on each of my visits. Even more importantly, my physician was professional, caring and conservative in the treatment of a melanoma on my back. Biopsy results came back to me within 48 hours and a personal call from Dr. Mengesha. He worked me in to the schedule for removal the following week and took the time to educate me on how we were going to proceed. He arranged an appointment with a general surgeon for a sentinel node biopsy and an oncologist to schedule a PET scan. Thankfully both were negative for metastasis. I applaud this dedicated group of physicians and their staff and have already recommended them to several people. They exceeded my expectations!!

Up until today, I had no complaints with the office. Today, I signed in 15 minutes early for an appointment to have some stitches removed, and was kept waiting almost an hour. I was not told that there would be any delay, and it was not until I went to cancel the appointment and take the damn things out myself that I was seen. Meanwhile, I was watching people who came in after me get called back, seen by the doctor and leave. My procedure took less than 10 minutes. No real reason was given for the delay, and I suspect if I would be sitting there still if I had not gone up to complain. Extremely disappointed.

Beware of hidden Finance Charges! I had services performed which were covered for the most part by insurance. I explained that I would pay the balance over the year with my HSA and put the appropriate amount of money in the account with each paycheck. I never signed up for a revolving credit account but they add almost 3% per month on the open balance! I spoke with the office manager on my first visit and she called with fees for the subsequent visits and never explained this. If I would have known I would have paid with my credit card that has less finance fees.

I would never recommend someone visit this company. They completely dismissed my primary complaint, treated me for a skin cancer, which got horribly infected, made evening appointments, which when I went to found the office to be locked and dark. Horrible experiences over a 2 month time line.

Dr. Sarah Belden and her assistant were very professional and answered all my questions. I would recommend them to others. In fact my father in law recommended Dr. Blumetti to me. But I was very satisfied with Dr. Belden. And am going back.

Just had the mohs surgery on my face. The staff was great! They were friendly and kept me calm. Dr. Lam was wonderful. Im glad I chose to go here and will continue to go here for future Dermatology needs.
