Ive been going to Dr. Roenigk for years and he is the best dermatologist in the state, in my opinion. He knew immediately what medication was needed to clear up my sisters hands that were so hurtful from psoriasis and my scalp from the same ailment. We both had suffered for years. My sister has since become an angel but she always said Dr. R gave her liquid gold! I know if Dr. Roenigk isnt available as he goes between offices, I can put myself in the hands of Dr. Hood who is also the best at what he does. I wouldnt hesitate referring anyone to this practice. Both doctors are personable and care for their patients. By the way, their staff couldnt be better. Their informative, efficient and most of all kind. I consider myself fortunate when my primary referred me to this practice.

We all have been to physician offices where the person at the front desk was brusque, did not even look at you, or give you smile. The staff (and physician) at Arizona Advanced Dermatology were delightful and professional when I came for my appointment for MOHS surgery. From the front desk to the physician assistants, everyone made you feel welcome, were very careful prepping you for surgery and then extra careful when covering the wounds. They were careful to explain what they were doing. Dr. Khan is a special physician. My experience has been that most dermatologists do not spend very much time with you. Dr. Khan was just the opposite. She answered all of my questions, did a great job on closing the wounds, making the whole process relatively painless.

I only gave the one star so I could leave this message. I saw someone by the name of Rod Hood who is not a Dermatologist. He prescribed Tazorac for my acne and dark spots on my face. Well after the first two nights my face was extremely tight, dry, flakey, burned, and red so Im like OK, maybe its because its a new product so Ill give it two weeks oh my word, what an Awful, painful, emotional experience. Im so disappointed that I trusted this man and I got messed up even more.

Dr Halmi seemed a little off his game. He prescribed 2 creams to deal with some precancerous skin cells on my forehead. Didnt really prepare me for the effects/discomfort from using the first. He didnt go over the second cream...in fact I was surprised when I picked up the prescription that there was a second cream! Had no idea how to use it or when. Fortunately the pharmacist did. Been going to AAD for 12 years so I know this was an atypical visit.

For 18 months at 6 months appts I requested biopsy of suspect sites but Rod Hood PA continued to freeze them. I finally pushed to have two biposies done. They came back SCC Invasive. Rod Hood "scrapped" them out did no follow up biopsy or get markers. I am now having radiation therapy to both sites 5 days a week times 6 weeks. The doctor doing radiation was amazed that no biopsy or markers done. I gave the two stars to the office staff. Melody Goss

My family have used the Advanced Dermatology offices off and on for 12 years. The staff are always on top of it, file folder ready, and pleasant as well. The doctor (Rod Hood) is a friendly fellow, always calm and casual. We have each had MOS surgery done upstairs and that has been well done. All in all, this place is an oasis of competent health care in a world of disorganized efforts at other health care providers. Dave Tierney

I have had the most incredibly professional experience at Advanced Dermatology every time I visit there office . Michelle Wittman PA is very detailed in her approach to her profession . I have had to have several appointments for a invected cycst on my back she has patiently cared for it and it continues to improve . I am happy to report that I found that my experience while undergoing the Mohs procedure was excellent. The staff was friendly competent very understanding. Dr. Khan was professional and extremely competent and extremely well-educated. I am a physician myself and very particular about who I visit for these types of procedures. I give them a five star.

Paid full copay for a specialist upfront. After the appointment Arizona Advanced Dermatology decided to change that agreement and pursued me for funds beyond amount agreed upon in the insurance contract they signed with United Healthcare and any agreement they had with me. Id be very careful of using a company this desperate for money.

Horrible office management - I scheduled and appointment and waited for 3 MONTHS for them to be able to see me. The day before my appointment, they called and left me a voicemail saying that they were not going to see me after all, since they dont even do the procedure they scheduled me for.

Very hard to reach through phone lines, you almost never get an answer and they shut off their phone lines 5 minutes prior to actually closing. I attempted to call multiple times starting at 4:45 P.M. and then by 4:55 P.M. the phone lines were shut off.
