Dr. Ackerman & her staff are amazing!! Love, love, love them. I highly recommend her. Shes very professional, knowledgeable & to-the-point. I saw her for an outpatient surgery w/a two-week recovery time. She did such an amazing job I was fully healed a week in advance. My post op appt. was rescheduled/moved up the same day Id called to have my stitches removed. Within the hour, I was in an out of her office. Also, Im very strict about the front desk folks keeping patients personal -actually all information private. This is the first location that truly abides by HIPAA guidelines. As always, I check to see if front office reps abide by these rules, and I was pleased to see they do. Such a relief to not have to worry about my personal information being exposed for other patient to see.

I am a healthcare professional who saw Dr. Ackerman to help me manage a rare skin condition which was previously confirmed with a skin biopsy. I brought the histology report to my appointment, along with other documents. Her behavior was very condescending and unprofessional. She told me my skin condition was a result of anxiety. I told her my skin condition was confirmed with a biopsy, and she very rudely said, "Oh, but of course, you "forgot" to bring it in, didnt you?" I told her I gave it to the receptionist. Her MA was present and found it among the other documents. Shes not as great as she thinks she is.

Dr. Ackerman has been my saving grace- I had a severe case of universal alopecia and another dermatologist told me that I would have to live with it. I was referred to Dr. Ackerman and she was willing to try a combination of medicines and topical treatment and injections to try and stimulate my hair growth and I am happy to report that I now have a full head of healthy hair. She was very patient, supportive and encouraging during this process. She may take awhile to get in to see her but she is well worth the wait!!!
