Looking to find a new chiropractor in Altoona. Made an appointment expecting to receive treatment instead I was told to get X-rays and come back in a week. But by the way, you owe us $45 for learning about your medical history. I moved in from out of state. Is there no place in the state of Iowa that you can get chiropractic treatment without having x-rays first? What a way to treat someone who has just moved in. Now I get to be in pain until I can get back to Colorado to see a great" chiropractor. Alliance Chiropractic Center was an absolute joke who doesnt even know about the newer methods. No wonder his practice is centered around the very elderly.

I have been a patient of Dr. Alexs since 1992. Dr. Alex and his entire staff are extremely welcoming and genuinely care about you and your well-being. They offer a variety of treatments including acupuncture. My son had acupuncture treatments for his allergies and is now allergy free. He no longer has to take any allergy medicines. I had serious digestive issues that were also resolved using acupuncture. I would highly recommend Alliance Chiropractic Center to anybody looking for a dedicated, knowledgeable and caring chiropractor.

Dr. Alex Van Wyk truly cares about all of his patients. He takes the time to thoroughly understand the patients needs. His staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I receive chiropractic adjustments, microcurrent therapy, ultrasound therapy, and acupuncture in his office. The acupuncture has been the final key in relieving my digestive symptoms and pain. The therapies have relieved the pain and stiffness in my neck and lower back.

I originally went to a walk in clinic for lower back pain after sports injury and they gave me oral steroid and sent me on my way to months of further pain and discomfort.
