Staff members are very nice but service has become worse with every visit especially with correcting mistakes and oversights. Im currently in a nightmare with getting them to correct an issue with a bridge I recently got on my upper left jaw. Ive been in there on 3 separate occasions informing them Im experiencing severe pain that has now spread to my neck, (apparently not uncommon for nerve related issues stemming from the mouth area). It got so bad I had to go to urgent care at the hospital in platteville where they gave me an injection of potent anti inflammatory which took the neck pain away for a day or so. Unfortunately, the root of the problem is my bridge. Its not even and is throwing off my bite and causing extreme pain. I havent been able to eat on one side of my mouth at all, and any slight pressure applied to the tooth sends shockwaves of pain through my mouth, jaw and neck. I get told something different every time I go in, first it was jagged and they smoothed it out, then it was uneven, now its uneven on the other side. Obviously sloppy work with no priority for patient followup, aftercare, or correction of mistakes and oversights accompanied by total lack of compassion and respect for someone who is living in total hell due to negligence. Currently looking for another provider who accepts my insurance, I will not go back to aspen once I find another option.

I had a terrible toothache all weekend and couldnt get into any dentist anywhere. I ended up calling Aspen when it got to the point where it was unbareable. They said they could get me in about an hour. So I got up there and got all signed in and in to do xrays. All the sudden I hear the front desk talking LOUDLY about my insurance and how it wasnt going through. (But completely failed to tell me) So I get in the dentists chair and their hygienist comes in and starts stabbing me in the gums after I flat out told her I had an infection and that was painful. Did not listen to me at all. Waited ANOTHER 45 minutes for the dentist to come in just to look at my mouth and leave without saying a word. So after 2 hours of not getting anywhere, I walked out of there. Still with a swollen painful mouth. I called and got in at my mothers dentist (Dr Nemmers) and he was FABULOUS and his assistant was the sweetest. She answered all of my questions and put my mind at ease the minute I walked in the door. I was in and out of his office in under 40 minutes. No being jerked around, just got right down to business. So if you want your time and patience wasted, then sure, go to Aspen. Otherwise Dr Nemmers office is down on West 3rd ;)

I waited almost a half an hour in the lobby to get in. They will not schedule you for a cleaning over the phone. You will have to go in, be seen by the doctor and tech, and have to schedule a secondary appointment to get the full service that any other dentist provides in one office visit. Given the half an hour I was in the lobby, I was easily onsite long enough for the cleaning to have taken place in once visit. The entire time I felt rushed, as the tech was running in and out of the room and pushing to get things done super quickly. Rushing leads to accidents. This is unacceptable and unprofessional behavior in any medical care facility. I had to sit through TWO sales pitches. AFTER being RUSHED through the other procedures. The sales pitches were easily 3-4 minutes a piece, and there was no way to politely decline. One is for a toothbrush that Im sure theyre getting commission on to sell at the dentist, and another is a newer alternative preventative treatment process that isnt necessary for your average patient, but they try to make it sound scary. I will not be going back, and I highly recommend other people find a better dentist until this place changes their standard mode of operation.

I give Aspen Dental in Dubuque a 5+ stars!! I had a new upper plate made at another Aspen in Des Moines, IA last year. They never fit right (too loose), they had air bubbles, and very rough surface. they wouldnt do anything about it. So, when I moved to Dubuque this Spring, I decided to give Aspen DBQ, a try. They dentist checked the old plate, after telling her how unhappy I was with them. She checked a few things, and came back a few minutes later, saying they would make a new top denture at no charge. They used the original old denture that I still had, which the other Aspen did too. Im not sure how they got them to end u looking & feeling as bad as they did . Well, I got the new ones today, and they look and fit perfect!! I am so glad I can smile again, without feeling self-conscious. I look forward to eating corn on the cob!! Plus, I dont have to use anymore denture adhesive, which I had to use a lot to keep the old ones in. Thanks again Dubuque Aspen Dental! Your employees went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied, and they always had a smile when I went in. DBQ Aspen ROCKS!! and thanks again for your help!!

Lets see if they remove this review...!! First off, the folks were helpful, the prognosis was correct; however the prices were higher than those estimated by other dentists by about 50%. It also appears that they tamper with their reviews since I never see anything but glowing reviews. Also, the reviews are written by "google user" (a no name person) or folks that have only put in one review of anything. I find that questionable also. Ive also had other dentists express concern about the prices being charged. So, as a consumer; I suggest you shop around a bit before committing. Just a thought.

Kim is the only one with a sense of urgency when dealing with customers pain and need of quick treatment. I made an appointment for an emergency root canal that needed to be done because I was in terrible pain and they could not get me in for a month after discussing the importance of giving me a cleaning and gum therapy. I was already on antibiotics and a narcotic pain medication. I called another dentist that day and the procedure was done in two hours. Their quote for my whole treatment (much more than the root canal) was over $9000. They will not get any of that.

I was there recently to have a new bottom partial made. The staff was very professional and considerate when it came to answering any questions about what was going to happen and the timeline involved. Everyone there from the receptionist to the skilled dental staff was courteous and helpful.............. especially Darlene, who went out of her way to accommodate appointment changes necessitated by a medical emergency my mother suffered. Thanks again to all the staff there. I will certainly refer any friends who require dental care to visit this location.

The company is pushed to sell services. I really dont trust the company when it comes to services you may need or not. Such a hard push for the cheeply made toothbrush they are marketing and I have a good sonicare brush. Also the hygienist gives massages as part of her treatment my boyfriend tells me, he had a massage before heading s cleaning. When I went for my cleaning I did not get a massage. In the medical field I beleive you would need to be trained and licensed to do this. I didnt see her massage certificate.
