My children have seen Dr. Mitchell for several years, but their last checkup prompted this review. The office and staff are consistently warm, welcoming, and kid-friendly, but during our last visit, they went over and beyond. My son began seeing a pediatric orthodontist at age 7, and quickly developed SEVERE anxiety and having panic attacks during the orthodontist visits. After a panic attack when they attempted to attach a new device, we were advised we would have to take a year or two off until he "matured." Having invested over $1000 in the process, the idea of delaying years and starting over was horrible! This is where Dr. Mitchell steps in! I made a call to his office to see if they would be willing to try, and they agreed since they do offer sedation dentistry for children with anxiety. Quick work on their part and a TV on the ceiling to distract him meant he only had the sedation on for moments before the whole procedure was complete. They managed in minutes what our pediatric orthodontist office couldnt do in nearly an hour, and my son experienced way less anxiety. I am SO thankful they worked with us, and highly recommend this practice to anyone!

My children had their first and last visit to this dentist. The website was enticing, the facility itself was nice and clean, even the dental hygenist was nice. However, the doctor was less than desirable. For some reason, he took it upon himself to clean my sons teeth. My son flinched in pain and vocally expressed pain during this cleaning. The doctor spent approximately 10 minutes total cleaning his teeth. My candy loving son has never been to the dentist and come away cavity free until this experience. The doctor told me he wanted to check out my kids because he had a "3 year old in the other room he had to deal with." She could be heard screaming and crying in the exam room....hmmm, wonder why? I have never received service like this. Obviously, I dont trust his opinion, and Ill have to pay out of pocket to visit another dentist. I will not visit this office again, nor would I advise anyone else to visit.

I read the first review and I would like to counter this by saying my experience was great. Yes the staff seems young, but they are very good. As a single father I took in two 5 year old children that had cleanings, xrays, and 1 a filling without any drugs. All of the service took place in 1 hour. My insurance was in the system just by calling and the service was awesome. The place was clean, staff is good with children, and the dentist was helpful while presenting his knowledge carefully. I will make Kentuckiana Pediatric my new childrens dentist from now on! I recommend you take your children here and register your google account to do this dentist some justice. I feel they deserve it!

We LOVE this dentist for our 2 young children. We had visited another pediatric dentist with my then 3 year old and had a horrible experience. He was terrified of the dentist and we waited another year before we tried again. When we bought him here they were very patient with him. Dr Haeberle was very sweet and kind to him. She understood his fear and anxiety because of his previous experience. Since then weve not had any issues going in for regular check ups. Were always in and out quickly, which is definitely a plus with small children.
