While the doctor vas very nice to me, he didnt listen to a word I said. I didnt pay 85$ to go see a dermatologist to be told I had poison ivy. Im no idiot; Ive had poison ivy a hundred times in my life. I know what it looks like, feels like, comes from and how to get it and get rid of it. What I had was not poison ivy, especially considering ECZEMA medicine was the only thing that worked. I just wanted the man to look at my skin and see if he could tell me WHY I kept getting this, 3 times a year in the exact same spots and didnt spread it to anyone. But no, its poison ivy. Shut me down, handed me a brochure, and wrote me a script for a 4$ prescription. In his defense, I AM NO DOCTOR. But I also know my own body, and know that without a doubt, this was not poison ivy, which is why I scheduled an expensive ass appointment with a "special" doctor in the first place. Should have went straight to the pharmacist like the old ladies told me. I gave two stars because they were quick, and like I said, he was nice. But he didnt even consider the possibility of being something else and wasnt trying to hear none of the "history" Id had with the rash on my skin. I wont be back. Aquaphor helped and cleared it in about 4 days, just in case anyone was wondering.

Everytime I go I feel like Im rushed through. I also feel like the dermatologist doesnt listen to the patients needs. I used to see Dr.Thorla years ago and feel he is the best. He unfortunately works the Gonzales office but when I need to go again Ill make the trip there. I also do not like the fact that Dr. Johnson always has a woman coming in with him in the room. This makes me uncomfortable especially when I feel the need to discuss my medical background.

First visit having lost my former doctor after 30 years care to retirement. Dr. Johnson was thorough and conclusive. I was pleased.
