My husband was in a motorcycle accident a few days ago,so we did what the hospital said to do and called to make a follow up with your primary care doctor so we called chapel view, his primary care doctor by the way. The girl on the phone said we dont see patients that were in accidents because we are having trouble getting paid you would need to pay for the visit..um no this is why we pay for insurance. So we make a physical appointment because he needs his inhaler, we get there and the woman tells us we néed to put a credit card on file so we can bill your deductibles and any CO pays. Now I have worked in many doctors offices and youre supposed to collect Co pay in this case there was no Co pay it was a physical, so instead of billing our Insurance first and sending us a bill for the remaining deductible they wanted us to pay the whole 200 and they would refund the diffrence when the insurance company pays, I dont freaking think so. Needless to say we will be finding a new doctor. MONEY IS CLEARLY MORE IMPORTANT TO THEM THEN THEIR PATIENTS SHAME ON YOU CHAPEL VIEW!!!! This is terrible to treat your patients like this I know I cant afford 600 for my family to have physicals and wait for a refund when we have to pay 300 a month to have insurance coverage this is B.S

I had the same experience as Kevin by having to give my credit card "open" for them to charge any fee they deemed appropriate. My credit card has a credit line of $20,000 so they could charge $5,000, $10,000 or any amount they wanted. They said I would not be seen unless I left my credit card info open and on file. If I decided not to leave my credit card that day and not be seen, they would charge me a "missed apt fee". It just shows its all about the money. The way they are doing it now, I have no way to submit my co-pay cost to my Medical-Dental Reimbursement account because they wont give me a credit card receipt, which my reimbursement company requires. What if I didnt have any credit cards? What if I wanted to pay cash for my co-pays? Paying cash wasnt even an option.... they wanted a credit card. I love my Doctor, but NOT the office staff and procedures. I am in the process of searching for another physicians office for me and my family. Ive had enough of the strong-arming and idiotic rules by this practice.

I have always had positive experiences with this health practice. Virginia Oshida is the only reason I would travel to this practice. It is unfortunate that new policy requires you leave credit card info when appointments are made so that all expenses can be paid " up front" and then insurance will determine the funds to be returned. This is B S. The purpose of insurance to many is the affordability of doctor visits knowing that an up-front co pay is doable for most families. I see this new policy as a statement from Chapel Valley letting us know that their reimbursement is more important than servicing their patients. Think about it; a family visit for four, mom, dad, two children, could require "up front" cost exceeding $500. I dont know of many families that can absorb this cost awaiting a refund. Shame on you Chapel Valley. It is clear to see where your priorities lie. My family will seek other doctors who have more realistic views and understandings of how health care can be affordable for everyone when it is needed.

Staff is incompetent, uncaring, and they "have too many patients" to do parts of their job correctly. Tried to charge me $150 for a routine medication appointment because " my insurance was inactive". This was incorrect and I assured them everything was fine, just go and check with them. They insisted that that was not part of their job, and then charged me a $40 cancellation fee because I didnt want to pay the $150 to see the doctor for 4 minutes and then be sent on my way as usual. The only one in that office besides the doctor, that has actually been helpful in the past is Kristen. I called my insurance company when I got back home and they confirmed everything was fine and all they had to do was call and check. I will not be visiting here again, which is a shame because Dr. Ebright is a very smart person and fantastic doctor on his own. But people who dont know how to do their job in the front office can ruin things for patients who like the doctor.

Horrible, if I could give less than 1 star I would. I will be reporting them. I have been going to this office for 13 years and have never had an issue. I went in on Friday and was told I had to sign up for the Autobill and they would keep my credit card number on file so that whatever my insurance company doesnt pay they will automatically bill my credit card. I declined and was told that they would have to estimate how much my copay would be. It clearly states on my insurance card that my copay for Primary Care is $35 and they charged me $60! I refuse to let someone dictate when and how I pay my bills. The fact that they are taking advantage of people in pain and that are sick is ridiculous. Its a shame because Dr. Ebright and Dr. Salvo are such great doctors.

I have found all the staff to be helpful, friendly and very good at what they do. My appointment time was on time and there was little down time during my appointment. Dr. Ebright is an excellent and caring doctor. They do a very a good job also at keeping their patient accounts, and if there is a refund due, it is received quickly. I have heard from many over the years from friends and my patients how they appreciate this office and the care that they receive. I would agree and would highly recommend this office also.

My husband was just refused to be seen because he wanted to pay for the visit after he was seen and submitted to insurance. (Payment is required BEFORE you are seen by the doctor and know exactly what level office visit it will be! They said they knew exactly what was going to be done.) We have never once not paid them for their services.

Beware they play games with payments in order to get the most out of you. They made me pay in cash and then wanted me to submit it to the insurance company this way I dont get the insurance rate I get there for office rate. They have good doctors just a shady practice when it comes to billing.

Horrible experience! They denied me an evaluation because I had a neck issue as a result of a car accident... The receptionist accused me of scheduling an appointment for an insurance claim when all I was seeking was advice from a doctor. Unprofessional and unfriendly.

Only giving one star because of ths same as others having to give a credit card so they can charge you wothout permission and knowing how much or they will not let you be a patient. Ive been going there for about 18 to 20 years. That is not good patient care
