I do not typically do these, I was on this site because I could not remember if Dr. Papa was in Pasadena or Wilkens Avenue this morning. Dr. Papa has been our pediatrician for over 17 years, and I needed to respond to those who say his office is dirty. It is not what your would expect in these new Doctors offices, he is offices are simple and dated. We joke because the wall paper in his exam rooms has been there since I have been going to him with my children (oldest is 23). His staff smokes so what, and the carpet dirty, my kids have never died from it. However here is what you do get.... The best doctor for your kids EVER! I could write a book, I moved to the Eastern Shore of Maryland and I still drive 50 minutes plus to take my kids to him. Why, because I trust him and truly cares about my children. He never gives antibiotics that are not needed, he refers out to specialist when absolutely necessary, and I dont know when the man sleeps, because he has been there for me in the middle of the night many many times answering my nervous mom phone calls. He puts his focus where it is important, the children, not the fancy waiting room or perfect building. If you want the fancy office feeling go somewhere else, if you want the best doctor for your children, you found him!! Christine Beverley-Wagner

Dr. Papa is one of the finest physicians there ever has been. The way he interacts with children is something you just dont see anymore. He really cares, and does his very best! When I was a new mother, my 18 month old fell and busted her lip. He tooth went through her bottom lip, and it looked like stitches could be necessary. On a Saturday evening, which happened to be a holiday, the doctor came into his office and examined her. Her lip was almost healed by the time I got there, so it wasnt as bad as I thought. Dr. Papa was understanding and I was told he would meet me at the office any time I felt there was an emergency. In addition, my 4 month old infant had bronchiolitis, a very dangerous respiratory infection. He met me at the hospital, and I was taken RIGHT BACK without waiting. You just dont see this personal dedication anymore. I would recommend Dr. Papa to anyone who wants the very best health care their child. His office dirty? NO. It is messy in the waiting room like your living room gets when your child/children play with toys! He likes his office to be a place where children can be comfortable, play, and be themselves. To the previous review? LIGHTEN UP!

Dr Papa is a great doctor. I was joyful to have found him and have my son being cared for by such a dedicated provider. The joy soon ended because his staff leave a lot to be desired. They are unprofessional, unorganized and hard to deal with. Its really a shame because I think Dr. Papa is wonderful, but I just could not deal with the issues from his front desk staff. I overlooked their shortcomings because of Dr. Papa until they began insisting I owed for a past co pay at every appointment. Even after speaking to his (off site) billing girl multiple times and being assured that I did not owe any past co pays... I was still badgered and embarassed at every appointment. After the third time this happened, I walked out. I am now trying to obtain immunization records from the office and having difficulty in doing that. My review for Dr. Papa himself as a doctor would be 5 shining stars, but because he employs and allows unprofessional staff my rating is 1 dull star.

This office is so dirty. I came in the door and the receptionist got up walked out front to smoke a cigarette. When she came back in she ignored me, I had to ask her for help. I was there to pick up required papers for my granddaughters daycare. They had no idea what I was talking about, said my daughter never gave them the papers. My daughter told me that this was the second time she had to bring the papers and asked me to pick them up for her. They argued with me that my daughter never dropped off papers. I left there shaking my head and told my daughter she needs to find another pediatrician, they were so unprofessional. I have heard a lot of good things about Dr. Papa but I would never recommend this practice to anyone.

I moved to Maryland 2 years ago from Los Angeles i was nervous to pick a doctor i had no friends or family here to recommend one to me. I took a chance and picked him I am soooooo glad I did!! I have 6 kids and they just adore him and going to dr papa isnt such a dreadful thing for them. My kids are my world and my only job in life and I really appreciate Dr Papas dedication and nurturing way for his patients

Hes an amazing doctor, he was my doctor growing up and is now my daughters doctor. I agree they are very unorganized and hard to deal with sometimes, but overall an awesome doctor.
