My experience at progressive physical therapy was excellent. I initially went there to treat some sports injuries in my knees, back, and glutes. These injuries caused chronic pain, and made every day activities very difficult. For example, I could not squat, nor could I sit for over 30 minutes without feeling pain in my glutes and back. My physical therapist was David Lee. David provided a comprehensive plan to strengthen my knees, back, and glutes. It took several months, but my knees, back, and glutes are much better. I can squat, and sitting no longer causes me any pain. Pros: David always asks his patients how they are doing, and does his best to adjust their program to meet their needs. For example, as my program progressed it became apparent to me that I needed more core strength. Once I told David this, he included some excellent core exercises into my program that helped improve my recovery. David is always very personable and knowledgeable. What I particularly liked about David was that he always took the time to explain, in-depth, why my injuries caused the problems that they did, and how his program would correct these problems. David is very flexible with appointments, and was always able to squeeze me into his schedule. Progressive physical therapy also has two physical trainers on hand: Ben and Sung. Ben and Sung watch you as you perform your exercises, so that you know that you are doing them correctly. You can also ask them questions to get extra exercise and stretch ideas. There is another physical therapist at progressive physical therapy. His name is John. Although John was not my assigned physical therapist, I could always ask John questions. He also occasionally took the time to give me some pointers on some exercises and stretches, which was great. The machines at progressive physical therapy are excellent. They are very clean and well maintained. Furthermore, they also had some unique medex machines that I never saw before. In conclusion, as long as you stick to the program you should get better. It took several months, but I am stronger and more mobile than ever was before.

My experience with PPT was very positive. I really enjoyed working with David whom I would recommend to anyone. David is very thorough and detailed in his explanation of the problems you are encountering. He takes time in the beginning to work with you and ensure you understand the issues and how to fix them. He provides detailed one on one feedback and is always very warm and welcoming in answering questions. He is very patient and never shows any frustration when working with you. It’s not just his positive energy and good demeanor that makes the PPT a pleasant experience, it’s also the assistants and aids working at the front desk. Everyone in the office is very pleasant. The woman making the appointments is always courteous and accommodates your scheduling needs. I worked with two of David’s assistants, Ben and Sung, both very pleasant and caring in their demeanor. I went in for lower back issues and they took time to work with me, teach me the appropriate exercises and ensure I have the necessary knowledge to continue the training independently. Since I was preparing to travel overseas I could not continue my routine scheduled training but I’ve gained enough knowledge to continue working on my own. I was very pleased with the sessions i had and i definitely would recommend anyone to give them a try.

If there was option for a zero, I would give this physical therapist a zero star. I went there because of my back pain. On the first day he was OK, like checking my body and asking questions, but no recommendation for exercise, he took one whole hour just to examine but never asked me what kind of exercises do I practice. They said it was initial evaluation and from next day you will be treated, so my expectation was that they will show/teach me some exercise/stretches which I can do at home. The next time I went there some assistant asked me to bike for 15 mins and asked me to do some very basic stretches, I always knew. The third day it repeated the same, the PT even did not ask how I am feeling or which part of my body hurt, just bike for 15 mins and do the same stretches you did last time. If that was the case (like repeating the same thing) then why I needed to go there, he could have asked me do the same thing at home if he had cared a bit about me or his patients. He did not suggest me to do anything at home, just go there twice a week for biking? On the contrary, I visited other therapist who showed fruitful stretches the first day I visited.

I have been to many different physical therapy offices over the past decade and this one is by far the best. David and the other staff take plenty of time to work with you, answer any questions you have, and provide excellent services for your rehab. It is a light-hearted, relaxed atmosphere without the typical rushed feeling of other physical therapy clinics. I understand that you have to double-book to make ends meet sometimes in the physical therapy business, but it really doesnt seem like that here. They spend plenty of time with you during your visits and are always available over the phone if you have a question. I would recommend Progressive physical therapy to anyone of any age with any rehabilitation needs. This is the second time Ive had shoulder surgery and the second time Ive needed rehab for it. The PT Im receiving is both more comfortable and more effective than the PT I received elsewhere. Hands down the best PT office Ive found.

I went to PPT on referral from a family physician, and am so happy with the results. I was experiencing some back and leg pain for unknown reasons, and David Lee got me on exercises and stretches that would work out my hamstrings and back. Not stopping there, he also helped me add in a variety of related body stretches and workouts that would get me in better overall healthy shape. I recall going someplace else in my teenage years and essentially being told to "try touching your toes more often," and this treatment was so much more thorough and exact. Their welcoming staff and well-furnished workout center are so much more than I anticipated. After a couple weeks, I experienced only a few symptoms, and by the end of the ten week program, I felt (for all intents and purposes) "cured!" If youre looking for someone who you can trust for physical therapy, who wont charge extra, or skimp on helpful treatments, look no further than these guys.

Dont waste time going to anywhere else for physical therapy! John Schaefer is the best physical therapist in the DMV area. I have been to many places due to pain in my low back and neck, and John was able to help me recover by providing exercises and quality care. The aids are also awesome and super helpful! The employees at this office are truly caring and they make every patient feel special and cared for. I started back in July and every appointment was a wonderful experience and I felt better each time. The most important thing is that they provide a detailed plan of care. I rarely ever write reviews but this place was a life changer! Thank you so much PPT Rockville & John!

I found PPT on a google search in need of help with chronic back pain. I was immediately impressed with how quickly they could get me scheduled and how friendly everyone on staff was. I saw David Lee for 8 sessions, we worked extensively on my problem areas and I was confident from the beginning that he was going to help me. He listened to me and adjusted my therapy until my back was no longer in pain. The results after 6 sessions were amazing, and by 8 I felt 100% better! I would recommend their practice to anyone in need of a physical therapist!
