I scheduled multiple appts with dr.shissel for the sole purposes of getting a PHYSICAL EXAM so that the doctor could make a professional assessment in regards to my disability. This man sat down and asked me a few questions and NEVER once examined me! He never even lifted my shirt to check my back to see my spine with a very visable curvature and my very badly damaged saccram. Yet he writes a letter and stated I have no disability! How can this doctor make that kind of determination WITHOUT CHECKING ME OUT PHYSICALLY??????? THIS man isnt professional , nor is his staff! They lied about my appointments and what I went to the office for when I scheduled MULTIOLE APPOIMTMENTS and the head nurse stated that " the doctor cant write a dissabikity letter without giving you a proper PHYSICAL EXAM". So after 2 failed appts of NOT obtaining any letter I scheduled yet a THIRD appt to see dr. Shissel, THIS TIME IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A "scheduled physical exam for the determination of my dissability," but that never happened! He NEVER GAVE ME A PHYSICAL EXAM, he didnt have enough "time" in five minutes they stuck me in! He literally asked me questions for 5 minutes and concluded the appt with ok Ill send you a letter? Really? Thats it? Im all done? No physical exam? !!!Comes to find out this man writes a letter and states in it that Im not disabled. HE DIDNT EVEN LIFT MY SHIRT OR LOOK AT MY BACK And he never asked!!!

I think he violated my HIPPA rights by speaking with my family and Dr. STEPHEN SCHISSEL will apparently. I went to this doctor to see how qualified he was to treat epilepsy, because my uncle goes you him for a severe brain injury ..... I am now in the worst shape of my life and so is he (Epilepsy wise).

They never answer the phone at the Amesbury office and when they do, they transfer you to the nurses station. The nurses never answer. Ive even had them hang up on me right when they answer the phone. Ill stick with Lahey Peabody, where they are more friendly and take patients seriously.

Rude and unprofessional office staff! This office has become a major disappointment over the last few years.
