Ive been an employee with New Horizons since September 2013 (almost three years now, which is mind-numbing for me to consider). This company has taken me under its wing to help me be the best caregiver I can be for the clients I work with. The nurses have been knowledgeable about clients, available for questions and concerns, and when I need a new skill to meet a clients needs theyve allowed me to come in to the office to learn and practice. Ive never been thrown under the bus, or used as a scapegoat, and whenever there is an issue on my side of things the company as a whole has been supportive and encouraging, for the sake of me being the best for my clients. They appreciate capability, experience, hard work, and compassion and do their best to show it and award it. Ive also worked with many skilled, solid, reliable caregivers, hand-picked by the nurses to work specifically with certain clients based on abilities and personality. And weve generally done our best to coordinate so that the people we work with get the care they need and more, attempting to go the extra mile. I say generally because things dont always go as planned, and yet the nurses and caregivers in my experience have always worked together to smooth out any ruffles that come along. Finally Ive had truly meaningful experiences with the clients Ive worked with. It is a fulfilling pleasure to come to a home and provide service for anyone who needs it and asks for it; and to be able to work with one person over the long term is priceless, Ive worked with some families for well over a year. The gratitude they share with me is always touching, and the most important statement I can ever receive is a client or family member saying they trust me with their care. Thats what Im there for, to ease the burden, lighten the load, offer a new horizon I might say... I know its a lot to read, I had a lot to say. It is almost a graduation speech. Im very grateful to have had the experience of working through this company for many diverse, dear clients, and to have the encouragement and opportunity to always better myself. They cant seem to get it together. They dont show up on time or not at all and no communication if they are late or not coming. Unreliable is how I would describe this company. They nurses are great but they have a schedule and management problem from the way they have constantly proved they are not supporting their staff. I would not use this service again.

I have work with this company for just about two year. In this time I have worked with some amazing Nurses and staff members. I feel sad to see people are not happy with this company for they have helped so many people. There is not one bad thing I have to say about this company. I love my job at New Horizons
