Wow I have never heard my wife complain about a hospital like she did with this one. The place needs to come down and close for ever. Main reason she went there was because her primary care doctor send her to the emergency room to het examinations as she has ovarian problems and was worried she might lost or about to loose a baby. She did got an ultra sound and they found nothing. Her left leg is swollen and they gave her Tylenol on a really low dosages. Not treated for pain really as she already tool Tylenol before she went there. Their answer was to go and see her primary care doctor. What... Wasnt that the persond that send her there?... I called womens hospital in Boston and traveled there and there it was. 30 minutes in the hospital and they found that she had a cist on her ovarie about to ropture. And that she must be on high pain as it has swollen her leg "that they noticed without even telling them" this hospital seems the worst in new england and needs to get fixed or blown out and tear into pieces. It does not matter how many people have born here and blablabla times have changed and is not the same as 100 years ago they need to know what they are doing today not as they used to know in the past. Keep it as a museum if you just want to see it there taking space. But to all of you who wants to save it keep in mind that peoples health come first not just memories.

Worst expierence ever! I went in after surgery because I was dehydrated and in severe pain. I couldnt speak because my tongue and throat was dry. When I went in the nurse asked me to change in my Jonny. I said to her the best I can I am sorry but Im so weak can you help me. She walked out then took my blood pressure with my jacket on. The 02 reader was broken and the themometer read my temp at 95.6 (which was 102 at home). The nurse then left me there until my mother got there and helped me into my Jonny. The nurse then complained how she had to work and made a slew of nurses come do my blood. After 2 bags of fluid the nurse said drink water and Ill send you home, even after I just urinated and it was the color of apple juice. The doctor finally said he was going to admit me at 7:30pm but the nurse had me lay in the room in pain till 11. When I finally got into the hospital they wouldnt give me anything to eat or drink. They said I was having procedures in the afternoon. I tried to inform them I was not have procedures. Finally about 12 the next day, the hospitalist came in and she said yes your not having any procedures you can have lunch. This is the last time I ever go to Union Hospital and I tell everyone to go anywhere but!

Went there for 1st time food allergic reaction and the dr there said "just take Zantac for acid reflux(due to my reaction)and benydrl(since I already have benedryl) youre fine."Didnt even get my system flushed with a drip.I asked about the system flush and was told Zantac flushes the allergen out (blatant lie btw). Before that I told them I had hives 5 days before that. Also the nurse didnt know how to us the ELECTRONIC pressure cuff she messed up on it 3 times smh newbs should NOT work in ER thats a reckless and stupid.Cant blame her too much, I heard her and a couple of Nurses saying they take classes at Northshore Community College that makes of sense. Ended up having another allergic reaction(food) was asked by a different Dr why werent you perscribed an Epi-pen I told her what the other Dr said. Her face said it all.I was told to come back again if I have symptoms again to waste money smh. SUMMARY:First time food allergy =use Zantac (acid reflux pills) because it "flushes your system" wow. Dont expect anyone to actually DO their job properly.Halfass is more appropriate theyre only there for you to keep wasting your money on ER visits.

While attending a post-op program on this campus I had an expensive GPS stolen from a room I was told was secure (by the program managers). The patients in this program have paid tens of thousands of dollars to NSMC and not even a locker is made available for their security. I figured the GPS was safer with me than locked in my car (hahah). I followed all the steps to file my report internally (BIG mistake - should have filed a police report) and despite numerous follow-up calls to their customer relations and security departments I never received any type of follow-up to advise what changes they would make to better protect their patients. It has been five months and no return calls! I have been made aware there have been subsequent thefts from this same program. There are many choices in healthcare out there - do you really want to entrust your healthcare to an organization this poorly run?

My boyfriends wallet was stole from the private room where they take you to wait for the doctor, with all of his ids inside, and then they didnt do anything about it. people DO NOT leave anything without watching even if is in a private room where only you and the doctors and nurses can go. Union hospital SUCKS!!
